Got our Model Y 3 weeks ago tomorrow. I use the autopilot 99% of the time. Maybe cause I’m an old pilot and got used to gear up, flaps up, fuel pump off, autopilot on, relax for 3 hours😁 We’re 30 minutes east of Philly\Wilmington in a fairly rural area of Jersey. The AP is amazing. It’s AI…is like it’s “learning” on each drive and we’re watching it learn…or is this total BS🤷‍♂️ Whatever it is, I’m done driving unless a safety issue or something really unusual is on or around the road.

It still gets confused on things that don't fit a standard situation but I have found it to work very good as well. Go around construction where cones put you on the left side of the road and you can watch it have an AI mental breakdown. Don't hit obstacle, drive on right side of road, don't hit obstacle, drive on right side of road.......She is a little aggressive on the mild setting as well. Right up to the speed limit to a red light that is 5 seconds away. She just needs to relax a bit.

Having to pay to "unlock range" is a deal breaker for me. I like the product and was seriously, considering a model Y for my next car. But i am not interested in being nickel and dimed, especially for range. Ev's are already behind the 8 ball compared to a gas cars because they need to be charged and the range is already lacking. Now you want to tell me the car is capable of more but tesla is going to need more money. Lol no thanks.

I would call tesla dropping including a charger with the car a plus. Of course everyone likes more stuff but nothing is free. I am sure the charger they would have included would be the crappy 110V 5miles/hour back in charger. I don't want to pay for that. If you are getting a car this expensive you care going to be getting the level 2 charger. You can still get the 110V but now everyone isn't forced to pay for it. I know you aren't directly paying for it but if it comes it comes with the car it is getting paid for somehow. Lower (or at least don't raise) the car price and leave the crappy charger out.+++

1. No all-time-on Blindspot sensors. Only comes on after you indicate. Dangerous. 2. Tesla Model Y LR is so bumpy. It shakes you side to side on every bump. Not sure how so many people own this crap. 3. Expensive but poor build quality. 4. The screen is out of the line of sight of driver. Dangerous. 5. Poor paint quality. Fingerprints show when you touch the car anywhere.

The model y has been slowly but surely increasing in price since early 2024. It is now about 45k not including 250.00 order fee and the 1,400 shipping fee and if you want anything other than gray it’s another 1k plus the fee for the charger. NOT THE BEST TIME TO BUY A MODEL Y. THATS A LIE. Sorry not sorry but let’s be honest here, your subs deserve the details.
