Great video, thanks for sharing your experience. LOVE the color. My wife and I (along with our boys), test drove 2 MYs and one M3 this week at the Rockville location. I have been favoring the blue until last night when we saw a Quicksilver after driving the M3...such a nice color! LIke you we have a Subaru that I'll be selling, a 2016 WRX that's in great shape with low miles. Love that car, but I'm getting too old for the ride, lol. We are still deciding which way to go on color. Wishing you many happy years in your new M3!!!

Thanks for watching! Great question! I wanted to take advantage of the free FSD transfer (Elon had said it was going to be the last time) and low interest rate loan as well as the tax credit. Not sure if all of these will be available for the Juniper Y right away. I may still upgrade to the Juniper at some point next year if I don't take a huge loss on this new Y.

Was considering this as well, but for my Y Long Range Dual purchased in November dealer stock I received an additional $4,000. That’s on top of the $7500 Fed, $2000 State, $500 referral credit, and 0% financing. Felt the offer was too good to pass. Also since I’m purchasing and not leasing I wanted to make sure I all the bugs and build issues were worked out . I never buy a car the first year of production. I felt this Generation Y by now would have least realizability issues. If I were leasing I’d go with the latest version.

If you don't include the tax credit and gas savings then base price is $44,990. Thanks for watching! I have these same seats in my 2018 Model 3 with over 80,000 miles so I am just used to them. They are way nicer and more comfortable than my wife's old Subaru seats. I don't have much else to compare to but really love the softness of the vegan leather. Ride noise is better than my 2018 Model 3 and I've only test drive the new highland 3 and Cybertruck once. Those seemed quieter so I imagine the upcoming Model Y refresh will also have some improvements all around.

The efficiency of the new Model Y is really good, avg 240 wh/mi which is better than my Model 3.

Thanks for watching! Tesla Rockville gave all owners a free tire inflation kit due to a state of Maryland law that requires all new cars include a spare tire or tire repair kit. We got the older version that's not available on the Tesla website anymore. It's the Sensor model made by Fix & Go. Probably not the best but could work in a pinch. Tesla has the Air Compressor + Tire Repair Kit 3.0 on their website now.

Thanks for watching! While surprising, these issues were relatively minor and I was going over the car with a fine-toothes comb. Glad they addressed everything I pointed out on the spot. The dirty delivery driver issues should be raised to the transport company. They were also delivering lots of cars so I figured I'd look past those as long as they were addressed.

Thanks for watching! I paid off my 6 year old Model 3 in early 2024 and then after a few months with no car payments, we added the new Model Y. Tesla offered 1.99% interest and we sold my wife's Subaru to put toward a large down payment. The monthly payment on the new Model Y is actually lower than it was when I was paying on my Model 3. I also didn't want to pass on the opportunity to transfer my full self-driving for free to the updated Hardware on the new Y. The $7500 point-of-sale tax credit is a big help too!
