Hey Julie. Love your channel. You are in my area in Irondale, Alabama a little outside of Birmingham. The prices can be a little high on some items but the Lovelady Center is a faith based program for women that offers recovery, housing, education and job training. The ladies there are always so nice and my money goes to a great cause!

I love discovering new thrift stores, it is my favorite thing to do when I travel. My family knows it and moans when we stop. Definitely antique store prices, fun pieces though. I found a beautiful copper kettle with beautiful patina at a small antique booth the other day for about $9.95. I bought it of course, but that was a splurge.

Pretty sure the hobnail dish you got is Fenton. That was a decent price on that piece. If you look closely you might see Fenton or an F in an oval on the bottom.

In my opinion, Goodwill is no longer a thrift store. I used to go every week to Goodwill (would have gone more if it was in my town). I rarely go now, maybe once every 1 month to 2 months. I no longer donate to them. I am so disillusioned with them.
