Thank you Bob and Jill. 😊 The look had a bit of the reason for why I went for 265 wide, I was afraid of them being to skinny and not look the part. So really happy with that. They add a bit to the fuel usage due to the size and weight but will just have to live with that. 👍

@@Skagitrover 265/65R18 is a great look and on spacers I can only image. Ørjan ran on that with BFG AT and was really happy with the setup. But it’s actually a size over what’s legal in Norway. In Norway tires have to be within +- 5% of the original size. 😊

Thank you so much Craig! I really like the Outpost and was considering them when I got these. I figured that if I were to go a bit on the MT side the time was now. If we are going on a longer trip down into Europe I will consider buying a set of the outpost in 245/75R17. I think that would be a great fit the disco. I have 245/70R17 on my winter tires and it's the best driving tires I have driven on. 👌 I would also love to have a nice D1. 😅

Hi Simon at long last you get your new tyres fitted. You looked like a boy on Christmas morning....so excited 😁 the Cooper tyres are excellent and look fantastic. You will be able to have a lot of fun with those on. Good to see the tyre fiter rotate the tyre to get a better weight balance. I always use stick on weights but they can drop off over time, nice to get the 4 wheel alignment done too 👍😁

Thanks Simon! It as been a long time coming and probably the best Christmas gift any 4x4 owner could get. 😂 So far the Coppers have been great and I'm trying to rotate them every 5000 km to get the same life out of them as the GG AT2's. I'm running pretty high pressure so hope that will help as well and so far it looks good. I did it all at once to save money and to get it set up correct right away. 😊 We will see if they will outlast your BFG's

I’ve had 3 sets of Coopers over the years and they have always worn well and I have gotten over 100k km on them but my biggest fault with them is I found they got a bit slippery in the wet after around 80k km. I have a D4 and I’m in the process of getting a set of 18” wheels which will open up my choice of tyres.

Hey and thank you! I'm running around 40psi all the way round but I'm still testing out pressures. In Norway there is a lot of tarmac roads so keeping the pressure high. Will drop it a bit if there is going to be a lot of gravel. So far I have an even wear patter and I'm rotating every 5000km. 😊 I have some small tendencies to trapping on the outer tread after the last trip but I'm going to see if the rotating the wheels will self correct that. If not I'm going to try and lower the pressure.

Hey and tank you! 17" wont fit on the LR4, neither some 18", as the sport 18" rims, so you need to find some the at fit. Original rims for the lr4 or aftermarket ones, maybe the new Defender wheels.

And question about Your feeling of driving on those tires after 7 month. Are You using them now during winter?
@LandRoverDrive
@LandRoverDrive 8 ай бұрын
I like the tires and they have been good so far. A bit of humming noise at 50km/h on a downhill slop with a slight turn, started after 5000km but it's very little and I don't notice it if I try to get them to hum. For longer trips I would go for a less aggressive tire to save on weight and fuel. Like if I were to drive down through Europe to Spain from Norway. For overlanding and a bit of off-roading I find them to be a good choice, and they look really nice on the Disco. 😊 I would not use them during winter, would not be safe. For winter off-road driving they would work great but on hard packed snow and ice they would be dangerous. Simon

Hey and thank you! I'm really happy with how it turned out. 265/265R18 fits nicely but I think they can rub slightly on turn. If you use a wheel calculator online you can see how the sizes compares. I think so too. There is a slight noice increase around 50-60km on new tarmac and I’m only rolling and slightly turning. A bit of a humming sound. So when everything else goes quiet there is a bit more sound from the tires. Not noticeable at higher speeds or the engine is revving. 👍😊

@@LandRoverDrive Hei Simon, thank You it's helpful. I have one more question about offroad roads. Is here in Norway some app/ website where I can find where can I go without any risk of breaking law? 🙂 I m not looking for an extream offroad but many roads are private and closed by "booms" Thank You
@LandRoverDrive
@LandRoverDrive 8 ай бұрын
@@tyroo196 I use the Norgeskart app, it is the one that is most updated on what is legal. It updates against the same database as the municipalities use, but they can be up to 6 month behind. In simple terms, all solid lines are drivable roads, red or grey, dotted lines are tractor or hiking trails and we are not allowed to drive on those. If the road has a sign that says privat road or there is a "bom", gate, then you are not allowed to drive there. :) Usually there are a lot of roads to drive on during summer but the closer you are to population the harder it gets to find drivable roads and roads that are not closed as private roads. :) Google maps have a tendency to show tractor roads as drivable roads. We use Google maps as a map reader/gps and then we use norgeskart as a check up when we are in doubt. :) Hope that helps. If you have many questions about going to Norway I would suggest becoming a Patreon @landroverdrive. 😉 Simon
