@ailecfg. You've probably already gotten your answer by now but I've used regular shampoo 🧴 and lots of different types of conditioner on mine. I find soaking the wig in laundry detergent sometimes irritates my skin so I use regular conditioner on mine. I also use a leave in conditioner on mine and it works really well. I LOVE 💕 the wig you’re wearing in this video! Where could I get it? I just started wearing wigs about a month ago, because I have trichotillomania, and pulled the hair off the top of my head. 😳I had to get a wig IMMEDIATELY, and the only place that was open was a super high end hair salon that also sells wigs. The owner came in on his day off to help me. The wig cost $722!! 😳I don’t even like it that much, especially for that price. I then went to another place the following week, a wig boutique that’s been in business for over 30 years. The wig I bought there was half the price of the one I got at the upscale salon, but I think it looks like a wig. The first one does not. No one knew I was wearing a wig. Anyway, I’m just now starting to learn more about wigs. Thank you so much for your videos. The upscale salon doesn’t want me washing the wig- I have to take it back to the salon every four weeks, and they wash it and dry it for me in their wig washing machine and wig dryer, for free, for the life of the wig. I still have the one I need to wash myself, and I’ll be buying more online. Online seems to be much more reasonably priced than going to wig shops. Is that generally true? Is it better to buy a wig online, or in person? I had no idea there was so much to learn about wigs! After the initial anxiety, hating it, and then getting used to it, I really don’t mind wearing wigs, and I am actually starting to really love wigs. I had no idea wigs could be so real looking. I’m so excited to get more! I have sooooo much to learn, though-- like EVERYTHING about wigs! 😳

Hi I've bought 3 very expensive wigs from a company that is in China. They are horrible & they don't pay attention to what I'm ordering. Plus it took 4 weeks to get them. I've bought a lot online & I feel they are better than those I paid hundreds of dollars on.

Aww...this is very sweet and kind. Thank you, Brunny! VERY exciting to be getting your first wig. (maybe it's not your first?) Don't get disheartened if you feel wiggy because everyone feels that way in the beginning, and I guarantee it will happen...put a headband in her if that happens with your Ignite until you get use to it! IT took me a long while to get use to Ignite, but it then became my favorite 'go to' wig!

Hi Jill! Thank you so much for all the work and details you put into your videos. I am new to the wig scene, not for myself, but for my almost-94-year-old mother. Her hair is SO thin due to waaaaaay too many perms and colorings throughout her life. She recently moved into an assisted living facility and I have bought a Paula Young (Ivy) wig in hopes she may like it. I would be hugely grateful if you would point me to your video (?) about using Woolite and fabric softener for washing synthetic wigs - only because until I know if she is going to like it and wear it, I really do not want to spend the money on the Belle Madame products until I know. If you do not have a video but could tell me how much Woolite to water ratio and the same for fabric softener (and brand) to use, I would sincerely appreciate your help. Also, if you know of a suitable hairspray that I could buy hopefully at a regular store, that I could use once or twice on it to style it a bit from the get-go, I would appreciate your recommendation on that as well. Again, thank you for your honesty in your videos. I look forward to watching more of them. Happy and safe holidays! 😊

I've been using "MANE & TAIL" Spray on Detangler. I've only done this twice on my wigs to Detangle them before washing. Is this Detangler safe to use? Can I use my shampoo & conditioner? It's what I used when my hair was long. Do you keep the conditioner in the wig or do you rinse it out also? I'm brand new to wigs. I was in hospital & they had to shave the back of my hair. I have to admit it's hard for me to keep my wigs on in the back. It rides up to the top of my head & falls off. I bought some headband wigs & am having same problem. The combs just won't stay put. I know your video is about washing wigs. I just thought you might have some ideas of how I can keep them on securely. I do have some lace wigs but I'm not having much luck with those either. I haven't gone out in public in a long time. I'm afraid they will fall off again. Do you have any thoughts on what I can do to secure them? Thank you I have seen so many videos on washing & conditioning. I get really confused on how to wash & condition my wigs. I don't know if you can directly DM me. I can give you my email if that would help. I'm kind of desperate.
@robertagilbert12345 Жыл бұрын
@mjerk. You can use your regular shampoo 🧴 and conditioner on your wigs. I've done this many times but just remember to rinse 🚿 the conditioner out of your wig. You can also use whatever type of leave in conditioner you use and be sure to use plenty on the ends. I'm sorry about what you've been going through. It's hard getting used to finding ways to keep your wig in place. I had the same problems with trying to figure out how to keep mine in place too. I'm still learning about that myself. You can try spraying your hair/head with hairspray or using some wig glue to keep your wig from falling off. I've actually tried this and it works pretty well. If you do go out just make sure to take the glue with you in case you start feeling like it's starting to fall off. I hope this helps you out and I also wish you lots of luck 🍀 dear. Wishing you a very blessed weekend. Keeping you in my prayers. 🙏💖🙏💖🙏💖🙏

Living where I do in a remote rural property, if I allowed my water tap to run for that long wasting litres and litres of water I would feel so guilty. I have found filling the sink several times will also clean the soap off that wig. Water is the most precious commodity of life. Without water to our avail, we would simply perish. My rain tank is filled from a well, plus whatever the rain brings. Just saying how well I have learned to preserve this commodity because I have experienced being without. So many humans in some underdeveloped countries would have walked many miles just to fill their barrels with just a fraction of what you let run down the plug hole. lol. But love your manner and show, and all the wonderful information you are departing in your videos, so please take no offense lol.
@lynnapplefield553 Жыл бұрын
Jill I watched your video but did not see whether you added both products at the same time as all I saw was tons of rinsing, not adding the shampoo or conditioner.
@JillLynnBeautyTherapy Жыл бұрын
You will be fine if you just follow the directions on the back of the bottles. You do not add them at the same time. Fill up your sink with cold water add the suggested amount of shampoo to the water (before adding the wig) and swish around. Then drudge the wig back and forth in the water w/ the shampoo back and forth to loosen the debris and what not. Make sure to gently swirl shampoo water around the perimeter of the wig and the lacing to remove any makeup. RINSE RINSE RINSE under cold water...drain the sink, make sure all shampoo is gone before filling it up again. Once filled add the amount it says of the conditioning balm swirl around and add your wig. Follow directions on how long it says to leave your wig in it. DO NOT rinse the conditioner out though. Follow my video demo on how best to remove the water from the wig. DO NOT ever comb or brush synthetic fibers when wet. Let dry completely on a stand that allows air to flow through. Once completely dried, you can gently use a wide-tooth pick or comb to comb through starting at the ends and move up to the base. You will want to treat with a detangling spray and comb through from ends up BEFORE you start this whole process of washing. ;) Hope that helps clarify.
@sandraperkins23533 жыл бұрын
This was such an informative video...thank you so much! I have longer wigs, do I still use the drying stand or do I hang in upside down to dry? Also, can you recommend a hair spray to use on synthetic wigs? I appreciate all of your help. Wishing you a very Happy New Year 🎊
