New Toilet? Remove Existing Toilet Water THE EASY WAY!

If you are replacing a toilet, it's important to remove the existing toilet water before removing the old toilet. There are plenty of methods out there to accomplish this task, but this is the method we prefer!

And if you only need to do this occasionally, like to clean the toilet or something where you're not going to spill it: take a toilet brush and jam it into the water. That'll push the water up over the hump at the back of the bowl. Let it settle a bit to reduce slosh, and do it again until the bowl is sufficiently empty. Also, stuffing a towel into the top tank will also help dry out the water. Of course, if you do this stuff for a living, you want pro tools, but if you're just a homeowner fixing the toilet or something, this works.

and have a large trash bag handy to place under and around the botttom of the commode to catch any remaining spillage when you take it out.

I had that pump. It only lasted for two uses. Then it stopped working.
