i have the edp and its probably my favorite fragrance in terms of smell so obviously i would love to get the parfum but 450 is outrageous.

I would've liked to have seen the meeting where somebody pitched this. One of our most populair fragrances, the only thing people wish was better is the performance. So let's give them exactly that. People who want to impress others and think it’s impressive to say they’re wearing a Tom Ford fragrance. There are plenty of people that believe this house is the pinnacle of perfumery. Edit: If you love the scent and are willing to pay that price for it, then it’s all good. I’m speaking of the people that buy Tom Ford just because they think it’s the “best there is” so they can flex when asked what they’re wearing.

Something that most people do not understand is that Tom Ford and that Kind of Companies don't want to sell cheap even if they can. The reason is that want their products to be not Mass friendly and be only for a small group of people . If they Lower their prices then they will not Be what Lacoste is for clothes for me example.

Years ago Oud Wood was what this new Parfum version is, couple of years ago they reformulated the EDP to be this watered down, alcoholic note opening version that doesn't last long... Basically they took the EDP that was already a masterpiece, watered it down, then released this Parfum version which is the original version... and people pay $450 for 50 ml. Tom Ford lost me after this.

Honestly, oud wood can be hit or miss; it doesn’t last long, and the projection is very low.

All you're probably doing is buying the original formula of the first release, the EdP is the reformulated original scent that's why it feels "watered down"..still not worth the price!!

I tried it but I prefer the EDP. This one is too sweet and not for my taste. Yes, the EDP is not very long lasting, but this is compensated by more sprays, and Molecule 01 with ISO E Super can also be used as a base. This is another epic fail in perfumery after YSL's Y Elixir. I will not comment on the price because there are at least 20 fragrances on the market that are true masterpieces and cost less. Only a complete fool would pay Estee Lauder such serious money for a fragrance that is not worth it
