I think i figured out why Schulz is so successful. On top of his actual sets being great and well thought out, his bits in between either involve the crowd or the city he’s in. And he jokes about the city as if he is a local, its genius. He learns about different cultures out of genuine interest and it shows in the material. im a 26 years old chinese and my grandfather was a soldier participated korean war. He was stationed in a war strategy department or w/e u call it , so they stay way back in safe zone and he survived. Once he told me that 80% of his work was trying to develop a way for chinese soldier to dress, walk, talk, eat, basically anything to be just like a korean soldier.
