I actually think a lot of the Britool Hallmark & even some of the Britool/ Mac Expert stuff is made by Rotar Toptul Mark. Some things seem identical with a different handle. Like the 360 swivel ratchets.

Could be, hard to find specific info sometimes.

Did the seller write a disclaimer that those bits are produced to a standard that's recognized in North America? The chucking end of the bits are not machined to lock into quick-release bit holders sold in North America, including cordless drills/impact drivers. The easiest fix to this issue is to grind down the end of the bit.

Not a concern of mine, they were $6. I have no intention of using these on Japanese carbs or anything else of that nature. They chuck up fine in my drill and I have used them to drive deck/drywall screws with no problem. I own real JIS drivers for when I need that application.

I'm not talking about the Phillips/JIS tip profile, but the chucking end. What brand of cordless drill/impacting driver and other standalone quick-release bit holders do you have?

I know what you meant about the Hex (drive) side not fitting impact drivers. I have Dewalt stuff and never tried putting them in the impact driver but now I will. I still use drills to drive screws and they work fine for me.

I have a Carlyle ratcheting screwdriver and it is identical to that toptul version except it's blue and yellow color.

I've seen pictures of it and agree they are identical except for colors.

Was it you who posted this same in garagejournal? Great video, I too have few toptuls, flexible magnetic pickup tool and mini vice grips. Good quality.

Yes, I also post on Garage Journal.

What made you pick the toptul files over the Nicholson? I've been debating getting the Nicholson kit on eBay and they seem to be close in price. I'm also a garage journal member

Just wanted to try something new. Nicholson & Sandvik are both known for quality files, I don't mind being a guinea pig and trying new stuff.

Been looking at the Toptul metric wrench set that are long handle. Do you have any of those by chance?
@MarkFox7 жыл бұрын
No I don't own the combination wrenches but I have seen Eric O. from SMA do a short "thoughts" on them on one of his repair videos and he seemed to like them. If you're interested I would purchase them and give them a try.

Personally I think somebody could make a good business by offering the full line of Toptul to the U.S. market.

I have that same swivel ratchet and it is 72 teeth
@MarkFox7 жыл бұрын
That seems to be a Taiwan thing, many ratchets out of there seem to be 72 T models.
