I've been waiting forever for Traxxas to make a mini crawler! Can't wait! For what it's worth, even though it is 1/18 scale, the wheelbase is exactly the same as the SCX24 Gladiator. I'm stoked!

Question,how can the wheel base be the same as the 24 Gladiator? I have the ecx temper gen 2 and it looks bigger then that.Thanks,and Happy RC

@@bobsturgis4674 I’m not sure. The specs for each just show an identical 6.10 inch (155mm) wheelbase. Keep in mind that the SCX24 gladiator has a longer wheelbase than other Scx24 models. The TRX4M is also about an inch wider overall than the SCX24 platform. Not sure if this is what you were looking for, but I hope it helps!

@@bobsturgis4674 remember the Gladiator is a stretched chassis in real life so it's longer than any normal truck. The TRXm has bigger wheels, it's wider and has a larger body making it 1/18th. 👍🏾

Just wow! It seems to drive so smooth! I have 3 scx24's and only 1 is still driving... I hope these things come Traxxas Tough!? :d And 1/18 scale will probably be easier to work on and more suitable for upgrades... I haven't been this excited in years, I'm getting both! :D

Finally!! hard body and the perfect scale. the 1/24(really 1/22) genre is far too dominated by another company) good move on Traxxas to go bigger, so much more performance in a smaller chassis. Hard body gives so many paint and weather options.

I like the look of these trucks, I like Traxxas vehicles but I'm not a fan of the proprietary Traxxas ID batteries. I also noticed it looks like these have bushings instead of ball bearings, if that is the case I hope Traxxas is going to sell bearings for it as an option.

Hi Dwight, Thanks for commenting. At this time, our only information is for the US and Canada. I believe that the US is going to get it a little sooner than Canada but I didn't hear about any other international release dates. I don't know where you're located but if you were to contact your local hobby store, I'm sure they would know. Best of luck!

Probably because it doesn’t have Portals which I believe reduce it significantly. But I assume to keep the cost down they went with regular axles.

But why they didn't made a inverted gearbox. When one driveshaft spin in left direction the other in right you avoid torquetwist and the car drives better

@@danielvecko6080 well a couple things come to mind. One is realism, torque twist is something you can experience in reality. I also don’t think it’s meant to be a competition based crawler. There is also the cost for that size packaging. At that size you’d have to use a offset front diff to try and reverse the output of one diff which would be difficult in that small size while trying to keep components strong it would result in every stubby shafts that could bind. These seem to have more beefy axles for the size. But I’m thinking the main thing is cost. It limits the possibility of making a 6x6 later on which my guess is all the models they have as the 1/10 they would eventually release as 1/18 as well. You can counteract the twist a fair amount with brass weights which many people like to do anyway. WPL uses wheel weights. I feel for the price range and the durability of the product it’s hard to judge it imo. Everything else in that size has much thinner components it seems.

My luck, I’m get the worst one ever made like trx-4, half a battery and broke, servos out, 3of them, two for the lockers, one for the transmission, Gfy traxxas! 💩 company, you know who takes care of me, axial, losi, way better support imo

i've owned 3 TRX4 and q TRX6 and no issues whatsoever, but i've owned about 4 scx10 and the quality difference is ridiculous, Traxxas is much better made, you can tell they don't have bean counters in regards to steel and plastic quality, the newer Axials since Horizon took charge of it are C R A P
