Well sound always varies depending on placement but the Xbass does add a nice little boost.

Actually it’s not that good! Which is a shame because the Maxwell, Stormbox and Stormbox micro are incredible! This one around halve volume and above reducing bass quickly and the distortion becomes quite noticeable. It lacks dept, it lacks some sparkle, some fun. It is loud but becomes screamy this way pushing the mids to much. The clarity of the highs is there but songs with more instruments and with a more lower sound just become harsh to lissen to; especially compared to other speakers of the same price. So for now you better stick to the other speakers of Tribit and hopefully some firmware update will solve these issues, because the soundstage is just off. Good news though an upgraded Maxsound Plus is expected around june, really looking forward to that one. Love what Tribit is doing, but again the Stormbox Pro isn’t what I expected it to be, which is a shame because I really wanted this one after watching some other KZbinrs. People should watch the review of Oluv, you’ll see how it compares against other speakers when playing different styles of music/songs. You’ll see I’m right.
