It makes sense if the reliability is there. The issues folks have been having with the new transmissions have me thinking twice about going newish. Also worry about quality of vehicles built during the supply chain crisis. The aerial pic of the thousands of Ford trucks sitting in the retired Speedway parking lot is mind blowing. In your video about the Tundra you sold to your dad you mention reliability and how all the bells and whistles might not be worth it. If my vehicle breaks down and has to go to a dealership for warranty or a major repair (transmission) I have to put it in a container or on a car carrier trailer, load it on a ferry and then transport it another 50 miles on the road system just to get it to the dealership. I'd rather get a used truck that has a reliability record and I appreciate your reviews for that reason.

Curb weight on new trucks is much higher this lowers payloads when compared to old trucks. Also resale value is much better on the older diesel than when that F150 gasser gets older. Maintenance you can do yourself and noooo Nannie’s that get you stuck unless you pull the relay.Along with lots of other annoying ( they’re keeping me safe) Nannie sensors. 😊

Not "buying" the rationale. People "eat with their eyes" and any good salesperson "sells the sizzle!" A product's fundamental value is based on what consumers are willing to pay for "the sizzle", not necessarily for what's actually on the plate. Why should the development and marketing of Wagyu beef drive up the cost of lesser, standard USDA grades of beef? Same for these ridiculously overpriced trucks (like your Jeep you mentioned!)
