I got another TTRPG to review! . . . sort of. I haven’t actually gotten a chance to play this one yet, but the author reached out to me and wanted me to have a look at it before their kickstarter ended, so I did what I could. After looking at it though, I 100% want to give it a shot in the near future and then give it a proper review.

This setting does sound like a lot of fun and the custom dice always makes the internal dice goblin happy😂 Love that Pivot Point mechanic especially! Dude I always got teased for saying zine with a long i!! Cuz apparently it's taking the end of magazine but I how am I supposed to know that and I'm trying to teach my kids English phonetics hahaha

PIVOT! And yeah, when you're told it's a short for magazine, it makes a lot more sense, but when you don't know that, it's just weird to not pronounce it how it's spelled. I say we all stop talking and use sign language instead.

I was just about to hit send until I realized who I was actually talking to. It was a good video and helped me a lot! Also it was entertaining. I still haven't got to try the game out yet but it's working its way up the list. Glad you got to make your way over here!

The setting looks good, but I'm currently not so into PbtA games (more into OSR and a bit of NuSR) And yeah, 'zine' pronunciation is extremely dumb (but the same as in French so not that hard for me to remember)

I like the idea of PbtA, but I'll definitely need to give it a whirl before having any actual opinions on it. Sometimes things look good in theory, but when you actually go to try them out it just doesn't flow well. I know GMs can make or break any session, but I feel like that system in particular reallllly depends on you having a good GM to make the most of it. Also - I'm still waiting to see those custom EZD6 classes you talked about before!

​​@@asquirrelplays in theory, it does look good but yeah, actual play can feel pretty different sometimes And yeah, I totally agree that it looks very good-GM-dependent which sounds good but tiresome and difficult for most GMs. With that said, if I have the occasion of playing such a game, I would love to try it but I'm not really confident in my ability to GM it. Those are still in the works (and Discord 100-server limit is so annoying), and I have seen half of my players (the Alchemist and the Intelligent Weapon) for their Session 0 and I'll be seeing the other half tomorrow evening (the Fire-Air Elementalist and the Druid). The first group worked quite well; I hope the second will go smoothly and I will reunite them for their first Session as a group.

@@juauke Very nice! And I hear you on the Discord thing. I was just complaining to someone yesterday that I really hate how everything has moved to Discord. Every game you follow, every mod for it, anybody with any kind of project, has a Discord you have to join if you want any kind of news. RIP official forums.

@@asquirrelplays Me too! I totally agree! I miss Google+ for this (though I wasn't into TTRPGs when I was using it) and forums! Runehammer's forums are very good but it is rare nowadays to have good forums. My main nowadays alternative to it is mainly Reddit but even there it is sometimes stupid because of how it's moderated and its stupid karma system.
