so mate just to clarify are u gonna teach us how to do all the effects on the vid like that smokey wall, the fire sword the firebending and the normal camp fire like things
@CGVisualsVFX5 жыл бұрын
It's 3 exercises, the heat distortion, and comp. The Campfire simulation, the sword is the same simulation tweaked slightly with a different obj model as the emitter. Then we create the fire bending and the final comp which uses the heat distortion and campfire into firebending.

@@CGVisualsVFX nice, may i give an humble suggestion for a future effect particle master i assume ur saying yes and if so given ur proven skills with this fluid system would u like to teach us how to do a photoreal bifrost portal rig like the one in the wakanda scene when thor arrives, and that would kill a lot of birds with one stone maybe with a few colour tweaks we would get energy beam effects like kamehameha and stuff like that. much respect man ur the true particle master keep up the great works
@CGVisualsVFX5 жыл бұрын
@@vascosazijim3212 Yeah great suggestion I'll def check it out, but you must have guessed that I'm on a avatar bending spree. Once that's done I'm gonna move into sci fi portals. Like making that Stargate with fluids for the gate opening effect. So I'll probable do the bifrost effect at some point.

Mate im so sorry Im Addicted to this so i just keep typing and typing but i have a question as.soon as i Saw the sword i had an idea for.a.short film and id like.to know if its viable to Animate the obj in 3d and have the sim look like fire or is this more of like a still.simulation like if i were to grab a stick and wave it around and then match the obj with the sticks movement Will it still look like a fire sword sorry for the big text its just that i rlly enjoy talking with pros like you since u have so much to teach and i wanna make vfx my career and ur without a doubt the. Chanell on KZbin with the best vfx done on after effects anyaways srry for bothering u so much and thanks for being the goat and teaching US your ways

Thanks, I always enjoy reading your comments mate. In terms of starting a career in VFX the number one thing I'd stress is to just pick one department like modeling and try to become a master at it. It's a bitch trying to get your foot in the door because recruiters always pick mid or senior level artists over juniors. I wanted to be a VFX generalist and make short films which worked for starting a VFX Channel, but a terrible idea for getting into the industry. lol
@CGVisualsVFX5 жыл бұрын
And with the Flaming sword thing, you could try animating the obj in Trapcode but you can't even change the axis point. It would be better to animate a sword in Blender or Maya and export an obj sequence into Trapcode which would definitely produce the effect you're thinking of lol

@@vascosazijim3212 By the way, you could wave a sword around and then track the sword, then apply a pyro shader to the track from blender or Houdini.

@@brightgarinson3099 yhea i thought about that then i realised that Im preety much completly ignorant when it comes to anything that isnt after fx i do need to start working on it if i wanna be a vfx artist turning 18 at the end of this year ao rlly need to start with 3d i do like to think Im preety decent when it comes to after fx thx for the suggestion anyaways

Hey dude new to your channel and what I've seen so far is awesome but may I make a humble request for you to do some earthbending effects, you see I'm trying to do an Avatar the Last Airbender fan series set after Korra so his first element is Earth and I have no idea how to do stuff like that myself.
@CGVisualsVFX5 жыл бұрын
That sounds like an interesting project I would like to see that project. Gonna do Air bending first and then Earth bending.

it looks rlly rlly damn render heavy but u know looks dope so who gives a f...
@CGVisualsVFX5 жыл бұрын
We actually address that issue by pre-rendering the elements... The fire took about 10 mins, 6 mins for the smoke and the sparks 1 minute. Then we can put some rather CPU heavy effects on the pre-rendered layers without it slowing down. So we lose a little bit of interactivity, but if you were to try and cache them all together with additional effects the render time would increase exponentially.
