Ultimately this is about maintenance of the current and outdated FiAT system which only benefits the global elite, but under the guise of consumer protection. Or am I being too cynical! They would rather destroy all crypto but recognise that is not possible. Therefore try to regulate out of existence. Financial innovation will continue to head to the Middle East and Asia.

These digital currencies work on a global system that doesn't follow the usual rules of borders and is not managed by any one group. This makes it really tough for any government to keep a tight grip on them, just like air, which moves freely and can't be easily contained.

They will try to over-regulate crypto in the hopes that normal people won't be able to use it so they will have to use cbdcs, but this will fail, the same happened in Nigeria.

I’d like you to do a section on ‘trusts ‘ if that’s your thing . Ie express trusts / charities/ Associations/ foundations. And also again if it’s your thing whole of life policies that can be leveraged against. As far as I’m aware this is a very tax efficient and can also leverage and still hold your crypto . This has got to be the way to go forward. I still don’t think the majority of the population realise that crypto backed mortgages etc etc are just around the corner either . Just wait when the clones are stuck in their dead end job on the gravy train with no future just because they got told crypto was bad by our good friend Andrew Bailey from the wonderfully trustworthy Bank Of England . 🇬🇧🙄😵‍💫

What is definition of stablecoin by value to backed fiat currency? What if stablecoins lose their value according to the fiat currency? Where is the upper or lower limit of the value in regulation? Are they going to freeze stablecoins on same way like in communist China? What is next step? Social scoring?

I think some of the comments here are pretty reactive without listening to your content. From what I understood the FCA is saying that if a UK stable coin is made and the creator screws up, that the UK will protect loses of UK stablecoin holders. This is a strong move.

Yes, you only have to pay tax when you sell/dispose of your crypto for a gain/profit
