New Ultra Longcut on DK's Snowboard Cross [MKWii TAS]

Here is the 29th Ultra.
Now we have only 3 tracks left that don't have an ultra (Toad's Factory, DS Delfino Square, and SNES Mario Circuit 3). I look forward to seeing what ultras we can expect to see this year!
The main cause that made this Ultra is a tech called Invisible Wall Clip.
When I was trying to get a Delayed Lap Count on Luigi Circuit ( • LC dlc attempt ), I found that you can clip off of the top of an invisible wall and it changes the direction of vehicle speed which is useful for gaining your moving speed when you have a lot of External Velocity.
And then Ejay B suggested me to try to get an Ultra Longcut on DK's Snowboard Cross using that tech.
With some attempts I could receive high sideways momentum (around 350) from supergrind on the long straight and that allowed me to eject pretty high on the last turn, and I got a wall clip off the side of the higher invisible wall which made this Ultra.

I definitely wasn't expecting this, one of the least breakable tracks of the remaining ones... insane. I hope something more will be found to make this save time, even though I rn don't see any no lap count SC that could be discovered anywhere. Nontheless, amazing job! 💪🏻

@@noahcheng1895 for ultras? No, absolutely not. Prior to this, there were no ways to get OOB after trigger KCP0 and land back on the track elsewhere, and without something like that ultras aren't possible (I mean, yes you can get OOB somewhere else and drive OOB up until KCP0, but still here there was nothing like that either). Definitely one of the least breakable tracks of the game when it comes to ultras. Yes there are many OOB stuff, but that's a different thing

​@@Portentous__yeah, that's for sure, I completely forgot that by now only few tracks remain to he broken, it went by so quickly 😅 those are definitely way worse, rMC3 because it currently has no ways to get OOB which means no ultras whatsoever for now, and rDKM has an ASS KCP placement, for which I highly doubt it will have any ultra SC (like, unless some major new glitches are found when it comes to the CPs, or some ghost CP stuff can be used, it will remain a longcut imo). But yeah, it'd actually one of the most breakable of the remain now that I think about it, I really didn't realise there were this few, in my defense back when we had like 21/22/23 ultras it was still one of the least breakabale though 😅 if you asked me yesterday I would have said TF was slightly more breakable than DKS, but besides that rDS and rMC3 are definitely less breakable yeah.

Nice work!! And congrats on finding the 29th ultra! I'm really glad that this is finally possible after being proven on 200cc (albeit with different strats). Also, with that tech, I've felt like something like that could be done after seeing the wario bike seam clip on rDS a while back and the "recent" rYF egg clips, but still it's really interesting to see. I also feel like there could be more ultras/improvements to old glitches and shortcuts yet to come with a similar sort of clip (for rDS ultra, SSing down the hill at the beginning into an odb clip and then into an invis wallclip to get back to top IV for respawn; for TF ultra, SGing/SSing across the mud section into a ramp RFH ejection and invis wallclip off of the right side; LC 3lap ultra; BC ending ramp fast redirect; rDKJP better ending shortcut; rMC one shroom ultra; etc.). Obviously some are better ideas than others, but this once again opens up a whole lot more possibilities in this almost 16 year old game

It is fantastic that another ultra longcut has been discovered! I loved the shroomless halfpipe bypasses and the strats of superhopping and supergrinding. The invisible wall clip is so cool. It's incredible how there are only 3 tracks left without an ultra shortcut or longcut. The MKW RTA and TAS community has come a long way. Fantastic work, Monster. Good idea, Ejay. BTW, how did you get RiazorMC to release a custom szs that makes invisible walls visible? He usually does not release stuff.

Ultra is just a nickname for the checkpoint exploit that lets you skip a key checkpoint and still get a lap count, so, yes

It's currently possible to take the first turn at a constant 120 speed without mushrooms and without doing an ultra shortcut. This strat requires 3 mushrooms and also comes to a stationary stop for a while before the cannon.
