Thank you! I am beginning this amazing journey. I am grateful for awareness that you reflect. Wonderful inspiration that you are. Definitely appreciate you expressing that which is a good teacher. Failure before we succeed. I live that is what has worked for me. Again invaluable experience I just gained!

If this method works for you that's great, I hydrate and sterilize my own grain and use agar to innoculate. But for sure if it works for you keep doing it. Anybody that is talking trash about it is an idiot, more than likely the ppl talking trash don't know what they are talking about about to begin with. There's a lot of ppl that watch a few videos and think they are an expert, and they are not. More often than not they have only grown 1-5 bacterial tubs that were half assed at best. Keep doing what you are doing man.

How did this work for you?
@seanlongwell731717 күн бұрын
@bradleyshipman4157 It works good. More for the beginner. I don't use Uncle Ben's tek because I hydrate my own grain. They did colonize, but I have not put them into fruiting yet. It was more for information for beginners overwhelmed with sterilization and techniques. Less tools being used there is less risk of contamination. I will make a quick follow-up video in the next day or 2. Still I don't know if I will try to fruit yet. Like I said, it was more for information than to try to actually grow. A lot has happened since then, and I have taken a break temporarily for time and personal reasons. Good luck keep on keeping on.

This could have been a 40 second clip. "tear the corner by hand, don't use any tools. inject LC and tape over opening with micropore tape - the end".

@drepenaproject Thank you. I don't disagree with the rude comment, but this was supposed to be designed for beginners that started where we all did. If you say you didn't do the uncle Ben's tek your a liar. The point was overly descriptive and could have been shorter. If you are going to do the uncle Ben's tek anyhow. The points I was boring people with is the crap technique with an inexperienced person trying this is how you will have more success with this CRAP tek. If the dumb ass's making the crap comments know so much why did they watch my stupid video. ALL THE WAY THROUGH. Not to mention, I was at the beginning stages of video editing. My bad @douchproject. I'm very passionate about mycology and try to learn from my mistakes. We didn't all start off being pro's at something this technical. Trying to help other people learn like I did. From the beginning. There is not one video on KZbin that tells you how to reduce Tam. If you listen to my 25 minute boring speech, that should have been 40 seconds. There were a lot of beginner tips that I haven't heard for over a year of doing this. Thanks for the support. I expected dickheads to make crappy comments. Thanks again. Keep on keeping on.

@@SocialDeviant_ I've had the best success with popcorn. Less contamination risk, but less inoculation points. Breaks up mycelium good with little effort. I can see other grain working better in other situations.

I never understood why anyone new to mycology would come and say " that thing you guys been doing for years sounds ridiculous to me" like huh? you should be saniztizing your hands and tools between each step...sterile techniques are more important than the equipment itself

Takes balls to even make a video consisting of mycelium or mushrooms at all nowadays. Then 1000 comments saying how dumb people are because their way is better. I think people should state how experienced they are and their results to back it up ya know

I just pinch and hole punch the bags. 2 holes with some microspore tape. I have had more success than failure with UB this way. Oh, and lay it on its side. The ones I lost were to wet rot and standing up.

BTW instant pots are great but they don't get to 15 + psi unfortunately so a cheap presto helped me a lot. Hey what kind of flow hood do you have there ? I have been doing this only six to eight months and done a lot of different experiments too. True blue genetics . Org has great spores by the way ❤ dipping my Ben's bags in a bowl of alcohol b4 knocking up works for me and using a uvc lamp for cleanliness with tons of air filters all over increased my odds. Where do you live? Im in
@seanlongwell73172 ай бұрын
@SocialDeviant_ I'm in NW Ohio. So I have another video that says briefly how I made mine. Now that I see how it works, you can use practically any sealed box. I really think you can use just a plain cardboard box or tote you have lying around that you can put a fan in small enough to create a positive flow. A well sealed good hepa filter with the correct air flow will work better than a still air box or oven tec. I have used both with success. Check your air flow with a Bic liter. The flame should just bend over away from the flow hood not flutter. I made mine for free with a microwave fan
