I think that a Dremel tool would work nice for cutting the mask. The tool spins very fast and would cut it with no trouble. When using a knife you risk damaging the paper Mache with cracks and chips. You always come up with different and fresh ideas.

That's a great idea, Alan. I have one, but I've never tried to use it to cut the paper mache. It would be way easier to control than a knife, too. 😊

I would assume she makes a clay or foam form covers it in alfoil and then tape, works out the cut lines and snips it off. Trace and scan. Another option would be to make in blender (3d program) and output the net

A llama would be a wonderful sculpture - their faces are so expressive! When I sculpt animals I start with a cardboard pattern that gives me the outline of the face, or entire body. You can see how I make my patterns here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r6i5mqyunMeDi8k 😊
