There's certain theory behind what humans find attractive (usually - health and symmetry). From that you have different facial proportions that give different impressions and different circumstances they look good in. Beyond that, there's not that much science. E.g. looksmaxers go for bone structure definition because it's what looks good on camera - but not necessarily IRL. Greek god statues and beautiful theatrical actor stars don't have defined jaws and they're fine.

It’s incredible how some people think that hitting their facial bones will actually do something. If they broke their facial bones and it heals, the body doesn’t try to heal for looks, it heals to heal. It can look ugly. We have scar tissue because the skin sometimes heals quickly, bone can overgrow and cause deformity. If the body was perfect then there wouldn’t be autoimmune diseases and mental health disorders.
