I feel like the handling and the tracks are really on point! Couple more small adjustments. Starting to feel like Grand Turismo. Love to be able to use the right joystick as throttle. Too many buttons to push at one time for me. But I am incredibly disappointed by the compounds and freeriding. They completely lacks substance. The trails are great! But once you get off there's literally nothing to play on and ride. the landscape is completely on rideable no natural jumps and doubles or free style areas. Love how real everything looks they just need to make it real rideable.

Only downside is that the gameplay is almost too easy. with the same bike tuning, it feels like my clutch boost is overpowered, there's virtually no slip and it's almost impossible to crash on big drops and case landings :(

After the update, I played a 30 lapper on Denver with Legend AI, I can say the ground physics ALL around feel MUCH better. It is FAR less bouncy, feels like the bikes soak up way more bumps. The new traction is great, I like that there is still a bit of slip but it grips when you want to. Terrain deformation also seemed less intense, but more manageable. The bike seems to also hook up in ruts now as opposed to acting like it's stuck in the mud. All in all phenomenal update. The biggest problem I see now with the new ground/suspension physics is it seems like you can land almost anything now, you can case jumps much harder without popping off the bike and crashing. I feel like this should be adjusted because it doesn't feel nearly as punishing to lose your rhythm now.

One thing I hope they fix that I’ve been noticing more is the random/non intuitive bouncing, when tracks get really roughed up I’ve noticed or especially when you land a jump somewhat at an angle you’ll bounce up or over and completely lose all momentum or sometimes be bounced off track, that and the shift glitch that was in all out where the bike redlines for a while but doesn’t shift. Other than that I feel the gameplay is actually quite fun

The issue I have is the track deformation is still almost non existent. I just don’t understand how reflex set this bar really high for track deformation seemingly out of nowhere, and no one has bothered to get it even remotely close since.

It blows my mind that Reflex came out in 2008 and is still overall better than all the games that have come out since. I recently bought MXGP20 and I like the first person but hate the 3rd person. If they would just do a remake of Reflex with updated graphics and 60 fps, it would be insanely good.

One thing I think they really need to add is the ability to change the number of laps for races in career. I’d prefer at least 5 lap races or even more. Things such as qualifying in MX and heat races in SX would also be a welcome addition.

i actually liked the sliding, once you uprade your grip and some other things it was a blast, have 12 hours in the game already and reallly got it figured out. You gotta slow down at the entrance to a corner and around the apex lean into the corner and get in the gas again. it just took some practice,

Yep game lost a bit of substance here. Cornering in a berm or rut properly was something to learn. Feels way too easy now, jumps also. Also its harder to let the rear of your bike going, while throwing whip/scrubs now, even with a kind of slippy setup.

I know they added decent updates with free content for All Out. I'm sure they will have paid DLC, but hoping for the free content updates as well. I remember Flying Moto Ranch got 2 additional tracks for free later on.

This is the first video I’ve seen where someone is actually able to play the game fluidly and therefore, the game does not look trash. I’ve watch probably nearly a dozen videos before this one, thinking, yeah nahhh, this still looks a bit to stiff and goofy… think I’ll pass on it for now. But after this video, in a really good way, you almost make it look like a different game haha. Actually looks decent. Good job! Might have to give it a chance and grab it I think. I agree, i enjoy the way the game plays. I’ve said this so many times… just because it’s a dirt bike.. doesn’t mean it 0 sliding. It’s actually really slippery at times and you can’t just power through a corner like you’re driving a f1 car. I like what their doing and enjoy them going in a more realistic/challenging direction for the game. It makes it rewarding for players like myself.

MX 2002 had the ultimate feeling of flow for me back in the day but I think they have nailed that original feeling with this latest installment. Play this game in FPV and it is unreal! I don’t know if it’s just me or not but there is a bug where if I tune my clutch at all on a 250 2 stroke it just bounces between 4/5 gear nonstop and you can’t get it out. Also transmission issues where manual is basically fight with the automatic system and most of the time on straights it sticks in 3/4 and won’t shift up when it needs to

Windham, try the 2 stroke 250 with -3 engine, -3 clutch, 0 suspension, +3 chassis, +1 tire, +2 brakes. It’s definitely the fastest bike in the game. The first national track you did I was running 1:30’s on lap times and beating the hell out of all the 450’s online. The bike has so much more flow and it feels like how the game was meant to be played. Lmk if you try it!

I'm a noob to this series only just picked up reflex a month ago. So far I'm loving legends, few bugs here and there but having a blast. The sliding did not bother me, but after watching this video II had to go try out the patch on the same track I played last night. There is a noticeable difference but the biggest effect was taking your suggestion of limiting the use of the right stick for when you need it, before I was using it to varying degrees on every corner

my two biggest issues right now. 1: Career progression is tied specifically to the MX bikes. 2: Needing to buy individual tiers of upgrades. it takes way too long to upgrade enough to experiment with what works

This update was a MAJOR improvement. I gave the game a 2nd chance after hearing THQ were actually listening to community feedback and got an update out so fast. I was actually pleasantly surprised by how much of a positive change they made to the game. The sound still sounds bad but it actually matches what is going on in the game so I can tell when I need to shift. The bike doesn't slide around nearly as much and the random bouncing is a lot less often and dramatic. 3rd person camera makes the game feel really bad because the bike/ride animation still looks bad but in first person the game is actually a lot of fun. After about 10 hours of gameplay the only thing I would desperately like to see is the ability to remap the controller layout.

Seems like the devs are pretty responsive which is nice. I have been playing the game trying to learn but honestly not enjoying it very much. I don’t dig the controls or how the bike feels/flows. I’m not sure these devs have ever rode motocross lol. Gonna give this patch another go but expectations are not high. Glad others are enjoying the game though.

I've been having issues with my bike getting stuck in gear during events. Like at the start of a race or coming out of a turn, the bike with stutter between 2nd and 3rd gear, and I'll have to tap the clutch a few times to get it to work right

Immediately noticed that you have more control in the air now, the bike feels loosen both on the ground and the air, I like how it behaves in the air now, has more inertia and feels smoother. I had to lower the traction and the suspension a little bit more but in like it so far.

I think the game could have done a better job at making the intro more fun. The tutorials weren't great and took time. But the part I think a lot of people didn't care for was using that stock 125 and then feeling slow and casing lots of stuff in the first few races. I wish the first experience could have been better for players.

I think the problem is they are used to play the milestone games, arcade car gameplay with a motorcycle skin, they don't really understand how dirt bikes works, they are bouncy, nervous and slippery, they refuse to lear the game, they want to push throttle and go as fast as the game runs...the big majority never touch a sim ever.

A little bit of slide is good. Bikes slide in reality, there’s never 100% traction when you’re hitting turns in 3rd at speed. People are being unrealistic. Will say tho, the patch really fucked me up 😂 I got so used to the sliding

See in alive I was all over the right stick all the time, constantly moving it. That dumbs the game down when you can turn with just the left stick. It took me like 5 months of playing almost ED to get fast at alive. There was more speed to find but you had to really figure it out.

I find that the bouncing problem is reduced quite a bit by pushing up on the left stick and back on the right stick. Has anyone else found this strategy to work?

The only issue I have is the shifting being on the sticks. It’s weird, basically the same as having a shifter on your bars. And as you don’t use the right stick so much it would be better placed on the buttons like every other mx game. Anyway, nice laps 151. Super clean style.

One thing I still cant seem to figure out is why I cant slightly over jump or case a jump without either getting thrown off the bike, or getting the animation where my rider is almost falling off the bike and cant hit the gas for a couple seconds. I'm going to pick this game up played most of the other mx vs atv games, couple games I didn't like (like Reflex) because don't care to use 2 joysticks to basically control the rider and bike.. this looks like would be more of my liking controlling bike mostly with left joystick and right joystick to make minor adjustments.. I like the game to be More Realistic so not being able to whip the bike like Crazy and jumping a whole straight away like in past games i think is a good thing.. Toning the game down could be a good thing

I miss the rider twitchiness that Reflex had. I feel like every iteration after it has been very slow to turn/move like there's severe input lag or very low controller sensitivity. Poor description, but I'm not sure how else to describe it.
