An out there idea is that it's some sort of battle royal game exclusive to switch online, nintendo has already done 99 games but it could be a bigger "free" to download game for people who have switch online expansion pack

It sounds like it's some kind of cross-play test between generations.

They will most likely be using the same OS across both systems. Multi-game downloads would be for migrating existing game libraries over. Sure you may need to load up a new Switch 1, but that's rare compared to what they are preparing for with the Switch 2. Think phone upgrade. This along with the previous update adding compatibility fields to the games.. They are almost certainly landing updates in prep for the Switch 2 release.

Courtesy of Switchforce, that OZ codename has indeed been removed from the most recent Switch firmware update.

No, it hasn't. What they did was remove one of the lines that had it, Ounce was mentioned in multiple lines of code. There are 3 other lines that mention it that weren't updated or changed, meaning those 3 other mentions are still there. They just removed one. Easy to overlook when you aren't aware of how many different lines of code actually mention it.

And I believe the Alarmo ⏰ also hold secretes into the gimmick of both the Switch and another totally separate platform Nintendo is working on with Google and that's the motion sensing technology in the clock with I believe Nintendo will almost certainly use that tech in the Switch 2 and the in development XR Headset with they will take on meta and the Quest 3 and they will probably win as Nintendo games in Mixed Reality will dominate the XR gaming industry and they will also offer their movies directly through the headset and other things like experiences, rides etc

I'm hoping for dual screen to come back, so it makes sense that something like Miiverse would come back given how it was implemented when Nintendo was investing heavily on the dual screen gameplay on both home console and portable fronts.
