The USB hub you linked in this video apparently is not available anywhere anymore. None of the products the seller offered in their Amazon store are available. I have watched the video several times but I am embarrassed to say I did not get the connection utilizing the new hub. On the Fire TV 2nd Gen where do I plug in the hub on the TV? The one you demonstrated is sold out and honestly I was too impatient to order the one from the UK. I purchased an Ethernet Hub and both extension peripherals from the Dec 2020 video. That’s a power issue. Which drive are you using? It’s drawing too much power. Are you using the proper power cord and plug?

No, the OTG you should use it just an adapter, not a full cord and the usb hub is not very heavy. I have it on both our firesticks. If you have a heavy drive dangling from it, yes potentially. Most people just use a small thumb drive to expand storage. I have a 2TB drive, but it sits on the tv stand,

Great idea, but it did not work for me. I bought the hub you linked. I connected it to my Firestick 4k, but did not connect to ethernet. ADB Shell was unable to see my USB, a SanDisk 128GB 2.0 stick. ADB Shell COULD see it when I left the hub out of the loop.

Yes, I actually did that a few times on the other support channel, but those are difficult because people want a specific time and that's a hard one to plan and meet consistently. Strangely they have been rolling it out by OS and location. So I just got it on my older 2nd gen firesticks yesterday. I didn't see the update until I restarted the firestick though. i have a 10/100/1000 hub. i run a 900mbs connection, the hub works great on my PC, but the fire cube will not allow the hub. The fire does not wok with it also. Any suggestion to get the maximum connection.

I would need a little more information. Is the hub one that we recommended? Not all work... Is the hub connected as pass through? What are you connecting to the hub? External drive and ethernet? Some hard drives draw too much power. So there are variables to your question. That's why we provided links to ones that are known to work. Reach out on patreon if you would like some private help

Part of the problem is you are watching a video from before the max was made. We have a newer video and the process is different. You are also limited to the type of drive you can use on the Max. Both on size and type. Rather than waste time and money. I would start with the newer video we have posted. Then reach out on Patreon if you need a private video on how to set it up. It's not difficult if done properly

Try it on a computer. If the same result, it’s a bad hub. If it works on the computer, then it’s something on your firestick preventing it

Depends on what you want to do with it. Firestick is easier to use and convenient side but has limitations. Android box will usually be faster, more storage, more compatible apps. But there are so many to choose from, most buy the cheapest and have problems.

Kodi is tricky cause there are so many different servers and builds. You don’t need much speed normally (20 min), however so content requires much more cause of poor servers. This is why Sterling is so good
