You likely have some room under your back mat above and around the spare tire that you can stuff things like your toe straps, flares, tire plug kit, reflective vest, jumper cables etc. Having a booster pack may be an alternative as well incase another vehicle is not available. Towel, rain jacket, gloves and other personal items stuffed under the seat. Just recommendations on utilizing storage space. Having a "big" tote sliding around in the way of daily stuff gets old fast. Again, just ideas.

I like the suggestion of stuffing things in pockets. Will be planning on doing that once I build the drawer system because the pockets will change up so much. Not any room under back mat in an lx 470 or 100 series Land Cruiser. Spare tire is underneath vehicle instead of being in the trunk

Adding those except there’s a knife on my multi tool so unless I’m carrying a pocket knife on my person (likely) I’ll just leave the multi tool for the knife things

Those pre put together survival kits are entirely junk. I would highly recommend looking into legitimate gear that will keep you safe!

Survival gear you actually need. Knife. Fixed blade. Folder. Gun. Boots or at least real shoes. Good flashlight. Better multi tool.

I mention my good flashlight at around 11 minutes. What’s the benefit of fixed blade over flip blade? What do you mean by folder? I like the other suggestions!

like @remf40, my vehicle edc is in the storage areas of the vehicle. next you did'nt mention the 1 tool that is missing from your tow gear. shackles to put them on what ever vehicle you are going to messing with. i have a 10 k tow strap with 2 shackles. now i drive a 2000 ranger 4x4. my edc pack is in a polish bread bag (messenger bag). it has a weeks worth of food & drink mixes in it. i went with standard lifeboat shortbread rations. no cooking, no refrig. my one draw back as i'm in minnesota is a water supply. so part of the kit is a water filter. did water in the vehicle orignaly, but it froze up in winter. you pack a tarp for shelter, but no rope / bank line for building the shelter, also no tent pegs for the same. was about to rag for no hammer when you pulled out your hatchet. now what are you carrying for starting your fire?? road flares, fire extinguisher.

Thank you for your feedback! I have lighters in my camping bin but definitely need to add fire starter to edc. Also adding shackles and paracord!

So, buy a lock for that hitch and keep it installed in the receiver at all times. That way, if an idiot bumps you in the ass, it does maximum damage to their vehicle and it can't be stolen. Look at Northern Tools for that. And, if possible, get the longest hitch to go into that receiver so as to do the most damage. Yeah, I am an asshole but, the guy that bumped me in the drive through at Mickey Donalds suffered greatly and I had no damage at all.

I like the lock and protection aspect. One thing to consider though is how having it installed affects departure angle when off-roading 🤙
