Those old cars are running really good times. The New cars are doing what a new car does. Hats off to all who run their cars and have fun at the expense of breaking or wrecking their rides.

It’s really built vs bought. Old cars are like sleepers. Respect to the owners that built/heavily modified them though. It ain’t easy at all.

I've always been into cars since I was a kid. My parents used to take me to the race track all the time. I definitely put respect on all old school cars, because without the old school cars the new school cars wouldn't have even been thought about

Agreed can’t replace classic. But You also realize those drag paks challengers you’re speaking of aren’t running 20 speeds or 8 speeds right. Neither was the copo. Got to admit though was a good run for many of these cars and new or not when they don’t make them anymore you will really be regretting it especially when the best you can get is a 6 cylinder or an ev. Those old classics are hard to find and not many made let alone good examples. I’m mean obviously tech has advanced you can see it in the times. Agree not a fan of plastic either but you take what you can get 🤣. You like bikes I assume 07 r6 nice bike btw but it has more than 4 speeds uses 4 valves per cylinder inline Yamaha motor that sings at insane rpm and is plastic for aerodynamics because its light weight which works better for the purpose which is to handle and accelerate unlike older bikes right. So it’s a matter of availability functionality and potential based on price to do what ever purpose you desire well.

@@Povertycab the newer challengers have more weight than the classics and more metal hence the reason they weigh over 4000lbs hell the charger weighs 4600lbs without a driver even the drag pak which really isn’t a promod it’s just a stripped down challenger with a roll cage and a built motor with a blower on race gas. No real difference from the older cars doing it. Pro mods basically everything is a shell with a cage lexan windows and rivets. The motors is moved way back and the firewalls is kicked back along with the driver while the nose is extended and runs into a front one piece clip as a front end that’s plastic. Drag paks are not that. They still weigh 4000lbs and are factory built. Pro mods weigh about 2200-3000lbs and nothing is factory.

So long as old classics are runniñg originàl mill not a transplant. À old shell with a modern engine isn't a true classic. It's just a hot rod.

If that were the case then almost all classic cars you see are just hot hods.... neither the cars or the engines were made to last a lifetime. Unless you're buying a classic car that cost 100k+ you're only going to find restored classics.

Those old school in this video suck. Not enough money invested or wrong mechanics. No way those muscle cars should have lost. These muscle cars were just show.
