the 5 leaf flower is a sakura or cherry blossom which is a japanese flower that represents etherealness which is the opposite of Eternalism. Koumei in japanese means Light or Bright, I think the Five fates may be referring to the Five Tenno Schools so I wonder if its an update having to do with the operator/drifter. Maybe we'll be getting some kind of new mechanic or mission for our operators.

I think the "five fates" could be a reference to Miyamoto Musashi's "The Book of Five Rings", which is a text about combat. Remember that in Duviri, the Drifter is carrying two swords, something that Musashi advocates in the book.

Zhuge Liang, the legendary chinese strategist from the 3 kingdoms period, had the courtesy name 孔明 when read in Chinese it is Kong Ming, read in Japanese, it's KouMei. With the many warframes of Chinese inspiration like wukong, nezha maybe this update will be heavily referencing the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, which is surprisingly popular in Japan too, so maybe a combination?

Just a little tip: if it's Japanese, "Koumei" would be pronounced "koh-mei", as the "ou" is a way of simply lengthening the long "o" sound in Japanese. This can be observed in Japanese words such as "Tokyo," "kinou" (tomorrow), and "budou" (grape).

I could be grasping at threads here (pun intended), but the name "The Five Fates" immediately drew my mind to Greek mythology with the Three Fates, Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos who guide the fates of mortals. The first bringing them into life by spinning their thread, the second braiding the thread to fill out their life, and the final snipping the thread to end their life. It could be a red hereing tho similar to the last update (which also used Greek Mythos in it's naming). In Greek Mythos, there was a race known as the Lotus-Eaters. They would eat the lotus and start to forget everything, their family, their home, thier loved ones, seeking only to continue spending their days with their fellow lotus-eaters. The quest however (at least in my interpretation) was similar only in name.

They talked about that Cyte-09's weapon at Tennocon in the Art of Warframe presentation and called it a machine gun. From the description as a tactical expert I'd expect offensive and defensive buffs as a weapons platform, maybe Blast element?

From the looks of Cyte-09 he looks to be more of a Marksman type of frame so that rifle hes holding is either a new weapon or a semi auto exalted weapon. My guess is you build up the incarnon meter with hits/kills or headshots then unleash a powerful slug like he did in the 1999 showcase

Regarding Cyte-09, perhaps his signature gun is the Gorgon-like LMG that he can be seen holding, but he might also have an exalted sniper rifle that snaps to headshots or something, kind of like with Mesa's Peacemakers autoaiming for you. That'd be cool, I think.

I would love to see the focus schools get more utility. Like the powerful abilities from 1.0 get used with the current abilities in 3.0 with some of the missing passives from 2.0 like basalisk scales (Why did they ever remove that? That was really useful in making the operator not so squishy!) and a couple more way bounds to make the operator more useful in general, less squishy and more able to combat overguard and armor without just being screwed with their pure void-beam. I also think the void attraction status should be changed, it’s good if you land a headshot but that’s kinda it, more detrimental than anything and it fits more with magnetic than cool void powers

I've a theory about what could be in koumei & the five fates could have Maybe just like with the war within and the final moment of the driviri pardox they is like 5 different outcomes that could happen that the player gets to choose (I mean its not completely out of the question and would fit the title) Side note: I did have a conspiracy theory about limbo being responsible for the Zamian 10-0 incident (for the calculations for the jump to tau) limbo's death and the Zamian 10-0 incident is too convenient same reason, same outcome and sameish return and as far as we know limbo is the only person in the lore (besides Albrecht entrini and maybe loid) who has the level of intelligence to figure out how to travel between different realities Just a theory but a theory that is way too convenient (if you ask me)

But that's just me and even if they can't rework those types of bounty stages maybe just not drain the percentage too fast.

In regards to cyte-09, what if he has an exalted rifle? It could either be the heavy LMG weapon we see him depicted with, or a sniper meant for situations like in the Warframe: 1999 teaser. And I just looked into a bit of folklore related to the translation of Koumei (light or justice), so maybe Koumei may be based off of Amaterasu, the supposed Japanese god of light or justice? No idea how though

Quick question: is warframe even remotely possible on switch? I have it already installed and knowing that aiming and shooting is a big part of the game and controllers are notably bad at doing just that, can warframe be played on switch

I played on switch when it first released 6 years ago (500h+), apart some framerate drop when too much thing was happening and longer loading time i didnt have many issues with the gameplay on switch. The main reason i switched to pc is that back then crossplatform didnt exist so eidolons and profit taker were frustrating since almost nobody would farm them. I havent played on console since so i cant say if they improved the performances but since they added crossplatform you shouldnt have any issues with matchmaking at least. As for aiming its a bit janky but you get used to it and you can use gyro to help with precision shots
