Oh Wow two Blackstone videos in one week amazing! 16:21 The purple lines are Walls and block line of site and movement!! Really important!! (rules p9) 18:00 Onslaught is attack twice, not move (combat p18) 51:13 After the second discovering marker is revealed, reveal all discovery markers (Lair of the Beast - Discovery Marker Rules) Great supplement overall, and your completely correct that it was probably planned to have four expansions. The last one will probably include rules for ‘Mega Questing’ with all the modules, or maybe a special ‘Hard Run’ mode? Still GW are doing a great job. The new Heroes teased look good as well.

When the Ambull and the worms popped up right at the elevator I was like uhoh Haha. How cinematic was that ending though, Amolynn(spelling) and Krooty dying and almost dying for Thad to step up as the doors are closing to drop several clips into the Ambull. He looked down to the ratlings and said "HOLD MY PURSE!!!" Haha

Thanks as always for yet another excellent video and Blackstone Fortress is the only 40K game that I have ever played, except that today I rewarded myself by ordering the Ambull as well as bringing home my first Age of Sigmar game Carrion Empire, so a whole knew adventure to learn awaits me. I completed the four strongholds and succeeded in getting the rewards from the vault last week and Pious Vorne got 3 excellent prizes within the one envelope. I have been waiting for this little bleeder and understand how vicious he can be, but I have plans for him, and Pious is waiting to introduce him and he's 16 wounds to the heat of her flamer, with Taddeus right behind and Janus as a backup and that is exactly how I beat the vault, as well as blocking the two portals off so no reinforcements could return. Please keep producing these brilliant videos... looking forward to the next one :-)

Hi @Hodgepodge Poodesky well I wasn't sure to begin with, but I believed it was ok because there were no rules saying I couldn't. Then yesterday I went to a Games Workshop to order the Ambull and I was having a good old chat with the manager as you do and I asked him what he thought. He did admit that he had not completed it yet himself, but could see no reason why not and stated that if there are no rules covering an issue, then follow the golden rule... use common sense, roll a dice and roll off with the winner deciding what the answer is. I did question, could the hostiles fight from beyond the portals and he said "I don't believe so", so although he's GW thoughts are much better than mine, I genuinely cannot see why we cannot block the hex's adjacent to a portal... why not and the rules DO STATE that hostiles and our good selves cannot occupy the same hex :-)

Remember the Ambull does double damage, so Grekh would have had 4 wounds that last round... but he wouldn't be dead, so you'd still make it down the elevator. Fun expedition. Clever girl indeed!

Don't know why but the twins are reminding me of Roland Tembo and Ajay Sidhu from The Lost World. Only here to hunt the Ambull because not even the Astartes are a challenge.

I absolutely love the twins. Once they get inspired. They become broken. I'm talking kill the chaos lord in one activation broken. Get them the auspex. Then they become laughably broken.

Have you tried completely failing to roll anything higher than a 3 for their activation dice? I found it balanced things out if you don't mind moving them around like useless pawns for a whole expedition.

May you explain me how the wounds and grievous wounds' mechanics work ? I was convinced that grievous wounds healed automatically each time the party goes back to the Precipice Battle Station or during the personal "heal action" taken by the Inquisitor Explorator (I do not recall his name right now).

Heal action, ie vitality role, only gets rid of normal wounds. All wounds (normal and grievous) are removed when you go back to Precipice.

Forgot to mention the priest guys heal action only gets rid of normal wounds. The Robot if he gets a critical success on his vitality roll can turn a grievous wound into a normal wound. Also I think there may be some items that remove wound tokens so I think can get rid of both.

Thanks for the early preview! You confused me though, about the line of sight rule. When Taddeus shoot the flamer around 16:20 - 16:30, my understanding is that his line of sight was blocked by the pink line (the line from the center of Taddeus’hex to the flamer’s hex crosses a pink line, so there’s no line of sight). The ultimate goal is to have fun, but I’m asking this to remove my confusion and to know when I follow the rules and when I’m not ;-) Are you guys sure Taddeus was able to shoot this flammer?

No. It is meant to be run as a separate Quest before or after completing the hidden vault.
