NEW Warrior & Thief Weapons News - Guild Wars 2

Elite specs had those nice extra weapon and armor-skins to unlock. Even though these new weapons aren't a spec, I would hope to see those skins return - including a very specific theme with them. They said in the blog post, that the ranger mace turns the ranger into a warden: "Wielding maces will allow you to become a warden of nature, tapping into the power of the land to support your allies while pummeling your enemies."

Staff Warrior is a long awaited thing. I hope i they push an actual heal/supper warrior build after implenting the staff. The Axe Thief however… Nobody asked for this. So many thief players even WP was hoping for an off-hand sword to really tie in the full assassin fantasy. But instead we got this. This just feels like a Mirage.

I may be in the minority here, but I was really hoping Warrior Staff would be ranged, even if it was only 900 range, because Warrior currently only has rifle and longbow, and both feel clunky. And, I think a Warrior Mage would have been very cool! So, I'm a bit disappointed. However, now that I've had some time to cool off and rewatched the trailer, it does look really cool and I'm more excited for it now than I was at first. As far the Thief axe goes, I'm very indifferent. I will have to play it to really see how it fits.

My only wish is that Guild Wars 2 adds more weapons. There are so many they could add but should they? Battle Axe Rapier Fist weapons like Knuckle brass or Wolverine claw or just hidden assassin greed blade. Could be two different weapon sets blade and bludgeon. Crossbow and Light-Crossbow Spike, Spear or a long poky thing Nunchaku Scythe Spike ball one handed and two-handed ... morning star and I don't know the other? Parrying shield 😂 tower shield and spike shield Katana Glaive Kunai and ninja throwing stars Whip (perhaps off-hand) There is more but point is there are a lot of weapons they could easily add. I would favor Crossbow, Axe, Glaive and some kind of first weapon.

I am so super disappointed in thief axe. I really hope the visuals are a WIP because there's nothing thief about throwing axes and then pulling them back with your mind. They need to either add shadow magic or wires to justify why the axes are able to move like that

I totally agree "spinning axes=they will cut you". They should just stick to the ground (like Olaf's axe from League of legends) and then you call them back when you want. Also I know the vfx are placeholder but I hope they will be shodowy axes to represent the thief

I like the Specter spec a lot but I'm always bored with the scepter skills. They just are all samey and single target. So I'm more excited about the new axe. My specter will be going into shadow shroud enough i don't think i will be upset if i have a corporeal axe. The Warrior staff so far looks like they spent the least amount of effort on. No unique mechanics. The skills they mentioned just are basic support... Which i understand the Warrior needs but is not very interesting. And the staff doesn't look like it will work well for Alac Bladesworn, and Spellbreaker won't be able to be a support because it doesn't have the boons. So it's really just for Berserker.

I ama ctually rerally excited for the axe on theif, i was not expecting it to be a throwing weapon AT ALL and that just shows anet really thinks outside the box more than we the players do, perhaps...also I think once i get my hands on testing it ill enjoy offhand pistol and get to see more visuals on how it acts with the elite specs and the stealth attacks :D

Looking forward to dropping access in multiple sites cleaving multiple points and then pulling them all in to do burst damage. Really excited to see what they're going to do with Ax pistol. I'm hoping one of them will provide some type of combo finisher like either blast finisher and or whirl finisher.

The thief doesnt look that interesting but im interested in the Ranger Maces and Warrior Staff so far 😊

It'd be nice to see the stealth attacks provide some type of combo field

As a WvW Player I believe the BEST Thief is a DEAD one!
