Volcarona and moltres deck, it obviously won't be as good as charizard, but it will definitely be fun to use.

Chatot, fossils and gyrados is by far my fave deck I've been running. You just thin out your deck and keep rerolling with Chatot, set up gyrados so fast and just kill everything. It's not completely consistent but it's fun! I'm like 11-2 with it.

I used to play this deck a lot when the expansion came out... My issue with it is that I brick a lot around 60 percent of the time with the Squirtle line at the last few cards

I mean that is just always gonna be an inherent disadvantage of 2 stage evolution decks vs decks with 130-150hp basic ex cards that start in your hand, that have literal ‘get out of jail free’ cards for when you finally get it within range to KO. If you couldn’t tell I absolutely despise mew/mewtwo decks.

I played against a blastiose ex deck that used all the fossils and chattot. Just tossing fossils to empty the hand to draw a ton with Chatot in the beginning. Breezed through his deck and got set up super fast.. seemed fun.

I’ve been running Drud/Blastoise since the miniset release. I run it with Gio because blastoise w 3 energy and Gio = a KO on a lot of meta mons (celebi, pikachu, starmie) after they hit drud just once. Love blastoise and love to see it being used

I still just use a Misty target and water energy as a wall. Ive had zero issues with standard Lapras as my wall. Misty target if Blastoise is online and chip damage on demand. Same retreat cost. Blastoise does 160 you dont need much

New Rapidash makes no sense in Blaine, the whole point is to be fast and aggressive and have pokemon that shine going both first and second. New Rapidash is bait.

The blastoise I made is a lot of fun if you wanna try it. Double blastoise, double articuno ex, new vaporeon, double misty, double prof. Sabrina, Gio, leaf, x speed, pokeball, and potion

I’ve been playing this deck since the new pack came out and it claps cheeks. It’s weird coz I bricked early game like 3 duels in a row but still won them. It has enough stalling capability with the druddigon’s and unbricking with chatot, that you end up with blastoise ex and if misty even gave you at least ONE heads. You’re probably gonna win.

This would make him a real contender tbh. This + Gio one shots everything except venusaur. It’d also help with Gengar, which you don’t run into often, but stomps me every time when I’m using blastoise tbh

when it come to pokemon names you need to pronounce them more like the japanese would say it. In syllables pretty much Po-Ni-Ta, Ka-Bu-To, Ma-Ro-Wak and so on :)

don't like the Bruxish, I put Tauros instead. been great so far! just the one extra energy and you rarely need it anyway if Blastoise is online.

I disagree with the notion that Gyrados EX is better than Blastoise EX. Magikarp is too vulnerable and Blastoise does more damage until a certain point. Also Misty makes energy requirements virtually irrelevant when discussing the card's balance

Would be less consistent, because you’re already trying to find your Blastoise line. Druddigon and Bruxish are both basic Pokemon so they’re already fully evolved, meaning no extra searching for evolutions going on. You’d have to take out both druds for just 1 eevee and 1 vaporeon, and that’s not worth it imo. But it’s def possible to use, it would just nerf this archetype even further lol. It’s already a worse Gyarados. 😭

I've found people who try to wall with Druddigon make it easier for me to set up, Sabrina them, and just start a sweep. It's very situational and like all of Pokémon it relies heavily on rng being in your favor.

There is only a small selection of cards in the game and Druddigon is the optimal tank right now. Not much I can do about it.

My take on the Gyarados Blastois issue: I would give Gyarados a 2 or 3 energy attack (30-50 damage) but make his 4 attack a little weaker, maybe 130 or smth. Or even a 1 energy attack with 20 and a 4 energy attack with 120. A low energy attack makes sense with him because he's easier to get and therefore use. For Blastoise i would keep him how he is, tbh i find his first, cheaper attack useless, by the time you reach stage 2 he should already have all the energy for his more expensive attack.

All these decks are too simple to make, buncha copy and paste decks. Same supporters and item cards everytime, just swapping out a big hitter Ex pokemon with another. druddigon as well. They need to make decks 40 cards instead of 20 to make things more interesting.
