Related to this, theres also a tik tok trend where people snapchat their friends asking them to draw an eyeshadow look, using snapchat's less than robust drawing software, and then they create their friend's eyeshadow look on their own face. (Their are also hijabis doing it with their scarf styling) I think that since Lor enjoyed the recreating the drawing, but also needed to take some consideration for practicality and comfort, this would be a really good level of freedom, as well as being able to take input, even from people who might not be confident enough to make a super detailed drawing, nor know Lor's wardrobe well enough to do that.

As far as fashion college has taught me, polyester fibers are the easiest ones to print in terms of crispness of the final image besides being cheaper, so I'm guessing this polyester trend is due to that. It's probably more lucrative to them too, as the overall materials probably end up costing less (which doesn't means the release prices are going down tho, but I don't really know if it's the case, I don't follow releases)

I'm kinda ok with the thinner fabrics (I live in Brazil, and oh boy it's hot as hell in here, so thinner fabrics are actually a plus) but it concerns me the amount of polyester the fashion industry in general releases on the planet on a daily basis. That sh*t doesn't degrade in the environment, for heaven's sake...

Polyester is one of the easiest fabrics to print on (sublimation is basically printing an image and pressing the heat transfer dye onto the plastic fibers to dye them). Other fabrics don't dye very easily, which is why most printed fabrics, especially with crisp and extremely detailed designs, are on polyester. It still sucks, but unfortunately, there isn't as easy or cheap a way to dye cotton fabrics with such accuracy in print detail.

I am OBSESSED with the coord Jotopia drew, and imo it looks just as good on you!!! Using the mesh top over the pastel rainbow top to change the tone and create contrast was a stroke of absolute genius and I feel like this is a person who shares my exact style lol. (I love your style Lor but I'd never wear ott sweet anything myself.) The pastel purple lipstick! The layers! The fishnets! The bag! The knotted up shirt! The colors!!! I've also just started drawing outfits for myself and I'd love to experiment working more with someone else's style, so a "draw a coord for me to recreate" challenge would be something I'd totally be down for!

I think the old style lolita with the first dress was my fave! But I agree the shorter wig with the bear theme looked great ❤️ The first coord was a great idea but with the full wig, the big hat and the ruff it just felt like your head was swamped a bit? Maybe if it was just one of those front puff things (I can't remember the proper term 🙃) or a detailed lace collar with less ruffles (classic rather than cutesy lace) that might balance the top area more?

Considering it's art of you it would not be cosplay. I usually define cosplaying as dressing up as a fictional character...even if someone were to recreate this look I don't think the term would apply either. I think an interesting debate is whether there is place for the concept of “constructive criticism” within a fashion. I think it’s why people’s advice can come across misconstrued and interpreted as a criticism or attack. Especially when people hold onto semantics for instance getting very upset when someone tells them what they’re wearing “isn’t lolita.” I’m interested in what other people think in regards to constructive criticism, helpful or unhelpful?

Okay that fishnet over rainbow shirt is amazing. I need to do that in my life. I also need to find a bi pride long sleeve shirt. I tend to make my whole outfit the colours and don’t have a shirt that Incapsulates that. I’m also going to be ordering a shirt that has the phases of the moon in the bi pride colours with its not a phase written underneath and really want to get a Lolita skirt to go with it and coord a casual look. Eventually I want to have a gender fluid one, and a pan pride one. Rainbows are easy, but I’m struggling with individual pride flags. If anyone has suggestions that would be cool.
