I feel obligated to comment that a good way to style black sweet colorways; punk lolita! The dress is the base with a blouse underneath if you so choose, slap a denim vest/jacket overtop and some boots! I know some people may find it jarring, but I like the clashing aesthetics of sweet and cute with spikes and frayed denim haha

You can also buy a conductive thread and sew a little patch on the fingertips where you need to use your phone. Just for anyone who is scared of the glue gun or cutting options. ❤

For the strawberry print at 9:30, I think those busy wrist cuffs could work if you keep the bonnet to tie them in but simplify the rest of the coord. Have a non-ruffled, more plain blouse (maybe white w short puff sleeves and a peter pan collar), solid sheer gloves (white/cream if there us cream in the print) under without bows, and more simplistic socks and shoes. Keep the eye focused on the cuffs and hat without being too busy. :)

i dont participate in the fashion but i adore it as an artist, but im wondering if a sage green or pale sage items would work instead of mint for a more classic or gothic vibe? as well as darker reds like a wine or burgundy. strawberry coords always make me think of old-fashioned shortcake so cream or 'biscuit'-y colored items might be on theme too 😊

As a fellow artist (and someone who has been interested in EGL fashion over a decade, though only wearing it recently lool) I've definitely seen sage work in classic coords! Wine and burgundy are great staples of classic and gothic. I'm a big fan of adding wine accents to an outfit.

This might be somewhat of a hot take but I think gold would go really well with the Royal Berry print. Like especially a shiny gold jacket and shoes(and/or other accessories ie a bag) would make for a nice touch. In my head as long as it doesn't have a busy print/texture on the gold it'd really compliment the maximalist vibes without becoming sensory overload material.

as my comm’s designated “berry bitch brigade boss” lmao, i wanted to say that the red x green color combo isn’t as much of an issue as one might expect! it’s all about context; when you see red and green stripes by themselves, you think christmas. when you see red strawberries and green leaves, you think berries, and christmas couldn’t be further from your mind. the print has already primed people to see the color combo as berry-related and not christmassy, so there’s nothing to worry about as far as coming across wrong (especially if you go for mint x pink instead of green x red). with that said, i do think those suggested socks with the red, white, and green stripes are a tad too christmassy to function in a strawberry coord - i mean, that’s just a candy cane 😅😂

I would honestly reccomended not buying from Amazon :') I know it's hard Bc it's a very accessible website and easy to get gift cards for etc but if you are interested in dresses in that style I would reccomended sellers like bodyliner or even 42 agent like Lor mentions. You can find clothes at similar price points and MUCH better quality
