You know what's funny about this? When they announced that Chris Diamatopolous (a.k.a. the best voice actor for Mickey Mouse of all time) would be in this (now first of many) movies, my immediate guess was that he'd be voicing Frank, mostly because he's at that age where he'll probably be stuck voicing/playing dad characters until he's like 60, no matter how long the Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse goes on for (though I imagine it won't be much more than a second season). And sure enough, he is voicing Frank

The first three live action movies are great, but I think that any subsequent movies should be animated. That way, we won’t have to get used to another live action cast and then have them get switched out when the actors get too old (like the movie that shall not he named).

Honestly, if this does well, I could definitely imagine every Wimpy Kid book getting an animated Disney Plus movie. It costs less to make an animated feature than a live action one, especially when it’s not theatrically released. I think it is very much a possibility that Wimpy Kid D+ movies could become a yearly thing.

I legit have every diary of a wimpy kid book, even the make yourself diary, and the spinoff books and so on. I have grown up with these books ever since I could read, I started to read when I was like 6 or 7, and still read Diary of a Wimpy Kid to this day and I'm almost 17, I can't wait for a ton more movies.
