Yoga practice can improve strength and flexibility and yoga for back pain relief and yoga for weight loss has been supported by many studies. Even though these standing poses are quite demanding physically, they develop a quality of mindfulness in the individual, making the practice of meditation a little more accessible.
Responding to requests from our viewers and Subscribers, the Standing Poses Yoga Collection, which is a led practice, now has an overlay of verbal instruction.. We show a 9 minute yoga sequence, combining poses from the Standing Poses series. Variations on Utthita Trikonasana (Triangle Pose)
Parsvottanasana (Intense Side Stretch Pose)
Parivrtta Trikonasana (Reverse Triangle)
Virabhadrasana II (Warrior 2 Pose)
Utthita Parsvakonasana (Extended Side Angle Pose.
Lin shows the classic yoga poses and Leo shows modified versions which make the poses more accessible for yoga students who need to improve extension, alignment or balance in the poses. You may need a couple of yoga bricks for the modified poses.

Although we would always suggest that you find a certified Iyengar yoga teacher so that you can attend a class near you, this channel has yoga sequences to help you practice your yoga at home.
