A new witness called by the prosecution for rebuttal, states that Garth Daybell told him how he found his dead mother Tammy Daybell on October 19, 2019. The witness says Garth’s father Chad was not around in the house. In prior testimony by Garth Daybell, he said his father woke him up to help after his mother was found deceased.

@kikiarthur5585 right!? I'm so sad for Tammy that Emma and Garth are just as rotten as their father. Part of me understands (please don't judge me) them not wanting to lose another parent. But a bigger part cannot understand standing by anyone who is responsible for a parent's death, EVEN IF it's your other parent.

Chad needed time to coach his son on what to say. Time to convince his son to lie, because it would "shame" Tammy to be sleeping in a separate bedroom (from her cheating spouse who didn't want to sleep with her after he was "sealed" with Lori). HE would have been the reason she slept in that other room and he convinced his son otherwise.

@moniqueb8545
@moniqueb8545 27 күн бұрын
@nancyvega1247 I think he just throws as many syllables into a sentence as he can because he thinks it makes him sound smarter. He has a very annoying way of using his words, in my opinion, like he just uses some words for the sake of using them. In this situation, I think he may also have realised that he called Tammy's death a murder although Chad's whole case is that not only did HE not murder Tammy, but she wasn't murdered at all. So now Prior is just going the completely opposite way, speaking as if there's a chance she didn't die at all. It's ridiculous really.

He went and got Garth to help put her back on the bed. Garth's story, that he heard a thump that woke him up, he went to the room, Tammy was half out of the bed, so he lifted her back on the bed! Can't have it both ways! This rebuttal witness tells a completely different story! Look what Chad Daybell has done to his son! More than likely Garth is facing a charge of perjury! Garth told the 911 operator that HE found his mother, and then Chad took the phone off him to tell his lie story. Chad doesn't even care that he traumatised his son and made him lie through coercion (his MO is coercion with fear of natural disasters etc).
@julesfromsydney
@julesfromsydney 24 күн бұрын
On the witness stand Garths work friend McKay helped clarify the truth regarding who found Tammy. The numerous stories Garth put out there from his 911 call, to the 48 Hrs interview and finally the version Chad sold him, which Prior convinced him to go with to avoid perjury, impeachment and/or accessory after the fact, made finding the truth at first a challenge as Garth was meant to be very close to Tammy. Remember that before getting up on the witness stand both Chad and Prior intentionally kept Garth isolated from most of the facts of this case including those damning texts as they too were concerned, if anyone, he would be most likely to flip on them. While Garth did give the 911 operator and Mackay both sanitised versions of the event by omitting the ghastly pink foam from the narrative one could argue this came down to Garth's desire to have others see Tammy at the end of her life more at peace than having been in distress and suffering in her final moments. Garth wanted Tammy perceived as a happily married women passing of natural causes in her sleep in the marital bed beside her husband and not a woman alone from a broken home so he agreed to go along with Chads plan and narrative. Unfortunately, this meant Garth participated in the staging of his mother without realising in that moment he had now become an accessory after the fact. Immediately, the shock of finding his mother deceased Garth was easy prey for Chad. Chad likely gave Garth a version he knew would pull him in as would best honour how Tammy would be perceived by the LDS community after her death knowing Garth was close to Tammy and clearly, he bought it. Chad acted out of pure instinct to distance himself from Tammy just as Garth pulled in from work as he did not want to be seen with the body when Garth discovered it. He allowed Garth to find her but remained close walking in shortly after as he knew Garth would want to call 911 if he didn't. Heather Daybell (Chad's brother Matt's wife) said Garth and Tammy were very close and that of all the Daybell kids he was the one she was most concerned for in all this. If Garth was so close to Tammy, why would he not feel bad to lie in court? Because Chad put Garth in a position where he now had to save himself from prosecution as an accessory after the fact. He clearly felt able to justify having to perjure himself possibly due to his devout Mormon beliefs that he was standing in front of a gentile court system which matters little in the grander scale of accountability to them.

If Garth is not charged and prosecuted for perjury there’s something bad wrong going on. There is definitely a special place in hell waiting for Chad and his clones.

There is absolutely no reason this young man would make something like this up. He has nothing to gain from lying. Clearly he is telling the truth.

Can the prosecution recall Garth?? And would that not be sweet justice if his own son turned against him

Garth is a liar. This is why Garth said on the stand he felt threatened by the prosecution to change his testimony before charges came down. "It was pretty plain that I needed to change my story to fit theirs," he said in response to a question from John Prior, the attorney for Daybell. "And the event you didn't change your story, you'd be indicted by the grand jury?" Prior asked. "Yes, and they had a list of charges that they were threatening me with," Garth said.

I found it odd that in his last moments in the squad car with his daughter, Chad asked her to move the upstairs mattress downstairs. Seems an odd thing to request at such a moment. I wonder if that may have been where Tammy was killed. If you google photos from inside Chad's home, you'll see two beds in the upstairs room with the steep ceiling. I wonder if Chad persuaded Tammy to sleep upstairs where Alex lay hidden in waiting. If so it could have been incriminating if Alex' DNA was found on the murder mattress in the murder room, hence why his daughter should bring it downstairs. With a son up the hall downstairs, killing her upstairs would make more sense. Then of course, bring her corpse downstairs, which could be done more silently than when suffocating Tammy, assuming that's what happened.

My heart absolutely breaks for the daybell kids... Coz they ARE 💯% victims too! But even though I'm not shocked they got up on the stand & lied after swearing on the bible! You can't get much lower than that... But I'm shocked & mad as hell that they showed absolutely no shock or pain for their mothers death let alone emotionally try plea for their fathers life. Like Casey Anthony's parents did, so the jurors spared her life & let her walk free. The daybell kids just guaranteed his death penalty by lying & being so defiant & angry on the stand not really acknowledging the seriously of 2 children they never met being buried in his back yard! SMH!🤦😩😫
