Great video and I couldn't agree more with your points. It's such a shame that this could have been a way to attract and retain players, to be an entire new endgame loop... As that's exactly how it is in other MMOs with transmog. How many hours do vets spend just chasing cool looking gear pieces in ffxiv or wow or gw2? No seriously, it's tens, hundreds of hours. There are people who have finished everything those games have to offer, who now just play the fashion endgame. And those games have multiple times more content than NW has to offer in the first place. RNG is brutal, the 1 token per week limit is too low and the source being only chests is just nonsensical. PvP has no content, at least let them earn a single token per week? What goes through AGS's heads is beyond me. This isn't hard to improve upon at all. This would probably take a few minutes, just put tokens into more reward lists. There's so many bugs and it's not surprising because transmog just wasn't on the PTR... Why? Could it be because they knew they'd get backlash? Now we'll be waiting months for those bugs to get ironed out, if not longer. It's frustrating that ever since the forums got shutdown, it's become progressively easier for AGS to ignore feedback they dislike. They cherry pick Q&A questions and give carefully formulated, politically correct answers that say absolutely nothing. Nowadays it's even a rarity to see "we're listening to your feedback" anywhere on Discord. Not that Discord should ever be used instead of a forum anyways. Forum shutting down was one of the first red flags for the state of the game. Now it's that they monetize every QoL feature... Started with gear set slots and everybody was justifying it back then as well. Then they didn't come back to the season pass and became a cash shop only thing. Now most people dislike the system one way or the other, but it's too late to do anything about it. Same is happening with transmog. Same will happen with every single other QoL feature they will add in the future. Once again, great video. Good to know there's still sane players left.

Great video! As someone who hasn't really played New world recently this was very informative. Sad to see how they've done the transmog system, Not only is it predatory it's also just half assed. When they have gold in their hands... but throw it in the depths of the ocean.

Such a great video, it sums up the situation with the transmog. No one wants it all for free, we understand that they need to make money too, but not giving us a real chance to farm them for free (im talking 2 or 3 per week and not only 1% in chests, but obteinable from playinng the game) they are losing yet again another great oportunity of bringing more people in. Worst part is if you make a post about it in discord ,you will likely get kicked like they did to me, even when i made a great ammount of posts with images and possible new features that could help the game. Seems like their customer service is garbage, and now with only discord as a source of opinion is even worse, because all you can expect from their side is a discord moderator saying "We saw your opinion we will send it to the team, thank you"

As always highly impressed about your content, the quality is something I have yet to see in the New World community. Wish you would upload more often, I've quit New World and I have been enjoying Baldurs Gate 3. Highly recommend that game, it's a game without BS microtransaction.

In the ingame store, an apparel skin are 14/15k Marks of fortune, and you can transmog your skin by one that are already in the game for an equivalent of """only""" 10k marks of fortune .. So this is actually cheaper, so the price of 2.5$ per Transmog Token is actually ok, But the limit of 1 token every week is crazy ! No limit would be fine, because this is not something you can sell in the trading post so even if you'd have farm maybe 50 tokens, Great ! You can have all skins you wanted and you just save yourself arround 1000$. But in reality, if you want 50 tokens then you will need 1 year by playing every week.

I'm okay with the price too, but like I mentioned in the video, it's clear why they giving us bread crumbs and that's what I do not agree with. I can buy decades of WoW subscription or spend the same amount of money on New World Transmog Tokens to unlock all my current collected transmogs. It's kind of ridiculous, and only way to make the system better is to speak out about it! Also thanks for the comment ❤

Truly hope they go the route that I suggested in 2020 beta, and give certain Legendaries unique perks. It's so boring every Legendary having the same perks with 0 identity, I've suggested this before. Lazarus Bow revamp, give the old Splinter Shot ability since it was useful against large targets like Chardis. Make the ability Void, add Void Gem Projectile effect to the arrows and rename the ability to Abyssal Scatter.

I tried, got 3 chars 625, did mutations on 2 of them, and acid/ecr on all of them every day and 1/3 token. Played 60 hours last week.😅 even ran normal amrine 9 times and dynasty 4.
