You need to do this as soon as you hit level 60 if you want to compete in PvP activities in New World! As time goes on crafted gear will overtake this, however right now and probably for the next weeks faction gear is going to be your best bet for PvP!

thanks for the tips. For wars, there is no reason to go anything but heavy on all classes atm, since the 20% dmg buff from light only applies to base dmg. hope it is a bug....

Apparently, the Resilient perk is broken as well as Onyx gems damage resistance also stacks and applies. So this gear is best in slot for PVE as well unless you have voidbent.

With the light not giving as much as meant to I think medium armor is the best since u get decent 3 dodges if you're not playing Dex and still be able to take a punch

your server must have been super peaceful for a while. on my server we have been going to war sense day 5 or 6. syndicate actually got completely cleared off the map even. it was a rough first 2 weeks but we came together strong and now we own the most territory

It's mainly because the Gear Score for pvp is "Capped" at 300. Which means any gear score higher than 300, other players would still do the same damage to you. So It's better to get a perk with Resilience in it for damage reduction(Like the faction gears). Me and my friends tried it out so give it a go and see for your self. For example have a light armor GS 300 and a GS 400(or more) and have a friend attack you, it will do the same damage. For pvp the only time i would want a higher GS really is for legendary because of the extra perk. Ah also light, med, and heavy still have different damage mitigations so if you're gonna test this out, use the same armor type.

Huh? There is pvp scaling if that is what you refer too, but not among people with same lvl. In lvl 60 gearscore can be very important.

There is a known issue that Resilience reduces ALL damage, not just crit damage...that's why the PvP set is so good.

Save up for the last one or buy the runes of holding, the lower level faction gear you will out level very fast!

Dont save the tokens and get burned out. You will have to farm tokens at lvl 60 anyways to have all you want. Use what u have to improve your lvl experience. If you still want to be around after lvl 60 you get enough time farming that faction gear anyways.

I used all tokens on runes of holding. Been earning alot of money before i hit lvl 60. Now i am rich compared to most other players i see on yt. Play how you like, thats the most important.

Heavy helmet, heavy chest, med gauntlets, light pants and med shoes. That is what i find the best as medium user. To say medium is bad is just wrong. Been using light, medium and heavy as a healer/dps. Like medium best

Good guide for faction points but I don't agree about the armor. Heavy armor is the worst for 1v1, no evasion/dodge easy to kite/cc and kill., best used to tank in wars. Light armor is amazing on dex users because of stam getting up much faster. But If u play a mage, I would recommend medium for sure, especially if u run rapier/void gauntlet since u gonna be in a melee a lot and medium gives u an edge against ranged enemies.

You are correct! The meta has changed a bit since this video and the medium pieces being bugged when stat changing was a big issue. But the sets are still great, second only to BiS crafted gear or legendary drops now

Medium is good. 10 % dmg and healing. It all depends on class and playstyle. As a med or light class you want to mix heavy or med gear anyways so the vid is alittle miss guiding.

Idk why this advice is everywhere. I mean sure, its okay for pvp, but if you have a high enough population on your server then you can just buy much better pvp gear for not that much money. Money is not difficult to make in new world.

this is misleading. What ure saying is true. Because the pvp gear is bugged. It provides overall damage reduction instead of just crit damage reduction. Expecting patch soon lol
