I've found taking Armor Breaker from the Jugganaut tree over Clear Out from the Crowd Crusher tree is very nice, mainly cause you're not knocking enemies out of friendly aoe's or skill shots. Plus the rend from Armor Breaker helps a lot with damage, both team and any life-stealing effects you have

Yup. I had a similar thought. Then I realized I would rather have Wrecking Ball than Shockwave because I have enough taunts already and knockdowns are a significantly better form of CC than stuns (Plus this frees me up to use a more offensively oriented gem in my Warhammer which is nice in solo pve and pvp). And then I realized that most of the crowd crusher passives are pretty underwhelming if you only have 1 crowd crusher ability and Path of Destiny is underwhelming in general unless you're trying to snipe things at range. So suddenly I found myself going full Juggernaut with only a couple of points in Crowd Crusher.

@@connman8d617 I def prefer Shockwave, as it can knock enemies out of their Grit moves, as well as serve as an extra taunt. Otherwise agree that Crowd Crusher is underwhelming compared to the Jugg tree. I'm sure the health regain passive is nice, but honestly we want to be using Armor Breaker, cause DPS checks in later dungeons (Lazarus final boss anyone?) are very tight. I can see an argument for using Crowd Crusher tree for solo play, but in groups your healer shouldn't have too many issues keeping you up.

Clear out is useful in wars for knocking the enemy off of objectives though and you can use it to reposition pesky ranged mobs and send them towards the rest of the pack

for anyone going for compulsion its dropped by a mage inside the tent in lower svikins in great cleave. also inside of the tent is a big boss elite and a hellhound pet but you can avoid those by jsut sitting at the entrance.

The only thing I would say to change if you don’t mind respec’ing at end game is if you want to level up faster doing quests solo and running lower level dungeons, I am having remarkable luck having a full str build as tank. Makes all those solo quests super easy and fast and with so many higher level people always getting into your dungeon groups at lower areas, the full con build is definitely not needed until end game. At only level 40, I’m able to cut down level 45 mobs easily with full str build. I’ll have to respec into con for end game runs, I’m sure, but it’s too good to pass up early game, especially if you are doing any crafting and want the mining passives while leveling up that you get with the str boosts.

Yup that's what I did. Fights were taking too long when I did a full spec into Cons. Decided to go full strength and I've been able to clear everything very smoothly. I'd say only go tank if you gonna do dungeons.

@@pablo_jeffscobar_8988 I man handle Thorpe now. A good tower shield with lots of blocking stability is key. Can block all his combos with stamina to spare. I did it last night and kept him facing a wall pretty much the whole fight. 230 strength, 120 Con 8k HP.

I can't understand why people keep promoting taking path of destiny, wrecking ball is by far a better skill. Path of destiny is almost useless, you get only 110% weapon damage, a small stagger, and 5% cooldown on abilities, but you can only use it every 21.5 seconds. With wrecking ball you get 120% weapon damage, fortify, a very nice knockdown for mobs meaning you take less dmg, and the cooldown is 14.5 seconds meaning it's available more often. If you actually hit enough enemies with path of destiny to make the cooldown comparable, wrecking ball is still better for the basic cc and dps because it's far more reliable.

I use Armor Breaker with Lasting Trauma for the Rend, it makes the bosses die faster which means less tanking. I keep Shockwave for the taunt (a tank who uses a hammer should use this with a taunt gem), and Path of Destiny to get first hit on a lot of enemies which pulls them towards me for me to use Shockwave on them.

Armor Breaker!! The tank will help the party to deal damage, another thing is to drop the Clearout and take the 3th skill of the juggernaut tree, it will give a tiny stun to enemies and improve by 20% your armor

If you are a tank then hammer is not the weapon you should be using as a tank you want mobs/players on you the hammer knocks them away putting you out of positioning also imo 150 con and the rest in str 200+ is a better tank as you still have over 10k hp and can put some pain down if needed hence the grate axe as it has move sets to drag mob/players in aswell as healing you i.e free pots on use and keeping mobs or players in your tanking range clustering them for the big dps to do there job

Great builld. Running a variation of this with the only main difference being Armor Breaker>Clearout. At the endgame due to stacking high Constitution you don't really do that much damage, so I've found the rend really beneficial when fighting named bosses in elite zones and expeditions. It allows my group to do a lot more damage, and only takes a couple seconds to swap from shield when main tanking to quickly apply the debuff and swap back. Also shoutout to Sundering Shockwave perk for the Hammer. Drastically improves the damage of your group.

no sir the passive (prevailing spirit) only works for crowd crusher abilities there is a distinction there, Not just " war hammer abilities" and to be honest the life steal is pretty trash compared to the great axe since you heal every critical hit and have abilities that also heal you and can be stacked if you crit with them but to each their own.

I think the Swordmaster end-node Leadership is just too good to pass up. 10% dmg increase for the whole party, now that's some support. I'm open to any ideas against it though.

It's going to be useful in wars to help allies just stand on points and heal through damage. It's also going to be useful for unavoidable damage mechanics which are likely to exist at some point.

You're level 54 killing 35 elites. You can run a spear build to kill elites without even touching you that are the same level.

I used to be a tank build until 35 then changed to dps because i killed things too slow, now i like 3-4 hit them, they don't even have time to turn around. Tank is good in expeditions but in the world not really

When tou reach endgame yeah you will need the extra health and be a tank to your group. Like the video showed being lvl 55 and killing a lvl 35 mob so hard it's not ideal, not talking about being 35 and wanting to kill a 35 elite, you wouldn't even have enough damage doing like 100 per hit xD

i've never been a believer in the 15% stamina redux vs ranged attacks. there aren't enough archers to make it worthwhile, and the arrows never really land during chaotic fights. but if a later dungeon proves me wrong i can equip it

Might try the hammer. But my hatchet is so good. The aoe taunt is a 8s taunt instead of hammers 6s. Plus that extra life ya can get with hatchet as well. Definitely gonna level hammer next.

If I don't really feel like I'm going to die, I go Warhammer, because I have the sundering shockwave perk so it helps the group kill things faster. But on some of the tougher hitting bosses where I actually think I can get smacked around, Hatchet is a godsend. I think they both have a time and place as secondaries to SW/SH.

Yeh if you want your DPS to rage at you use Clear out LOL. No tank should be using that skill.. your job as a tank is to take the hits and help your dps group members do their job as effectively as possible. Dont use clear out

Tactician: On succesful hit with Reverse Stab, ALL Sword Cooldowns are reduced by 25%.
