What would be really cool is if you could find any information about any of their products related to this build on their site. That would be really cool. I love watching a video, getting in the "HERE TAKE MY FUCKIN MONEY" mindset, getting to their website, and it's a mess! You can't find this video, you can't find this intake, you can't find their build of this engine... Looking at the tach's on the computer screen I see torque dropping off after 4500 rpm & hp drops after 5400 the "hp tach" never showed 600+hp but when you show the other screen everything is sayin different!!! Am I the only one that noticed! Please educate me on this one... All the torque & power is made at low rpm??? but I didn't see 600+ on the torque or hp tach at any given rpm...

+twotwocold Probably SAE correction. Dyno's factor in barometric pressure and temperature and "correct" the output numbers to what you would get at 72 degs Fahrenheit and sea level altitude. I learned about this because I built a 383 in missisippi and drove the car to the california desert. Car ran great at sea level with temps around 60-80 deg. In mojave with 2500ft altitude and 100 deg temps it ran like ass. The absolutely terrible california gasoline did not help. Went from making 580 ft lbs to about 430. Displeased would be an understatement.

Getting all that low-end torque to the ground is a challenge. This thing would sneer at 2.73 gears. You would have to be very careful passing cars even at 70 MPH.

I'm curious how much horsepower it would make with a stage 3 540cubic inch kit from Raylar Engineering. The stage 3 kit make 685hp on a stock block with all their parts. So if you swapped to this intake I wonder how much the increase would be

Why wouldn't you pump up the compression a point or soand run it on 93-octane to see how much more power you get. I had a 06 GTO with an LS2 that had 10.9 to 1 compression stock and idle at 600 RPM I just felt like a big loafing elephant motor

I wonder what pistons he's running. If it's the 9.75" deck, and he uses dished 1.375" compression height pistons, he can run common 6.125" connecting rods. If he uses 1.15" compression height pistons, he can run callies 6.35" rods. However, I thought off the shelf pistons were 1.115". Maybe he's running a lot of head gasket to get the compression ratio down. At any rate, 85 pound feet per liter is a very efficient engine.

You have a great mind for this work and are a master in your field. I enjoy watching all your builds. Are you able to design your X-ram intake for any engine. What would a custom cost estimate? I would love to put one on my 2001 8.1l Vortec 496. I believe it would help with the restrictive stock intake problems and open up the torque potentials of that monster. I know you like the SBC but the 8.1 does have some potentials if treated to some good heads and internals. A Rayler kit and your X-Ram could make for a fierce monster. Thanks for all your work and videos.

I wish my 02 chevy 2500HD with the 8.1 vortech could put those numbers down. Last dyno i did it was 298 to the wheels. Cant remember the tq. Hell i would be ecstatic to be able to make 500 at the wheels. But that would smoke my Allison up and grenade some other stuff.

Watching these videos is worse than crack. They leave you waiting to see what you have next and how wild that's going to be. Would like to see some mod motors, like the Shelby, but they all kick ass. As much as I like all of them, still haven't seen one that rung the bells like the Aussie motor that caused the "black hole". That was purely sick and I think was responsible for some sinkholes worldwide.
