Maybe the health of the shield was overboard, but Blackbeard at his core isn't broken. It's just that this game heavily relies on headshots, so an op that's permanently blocking their head with something until it's destroyed would be annoying. But in his defense, people don't have to challenge Ops on windows. He's an attacker, so he has to kill everyone on defense or plant the bomb. Could people not wait until time gets low and he decides to rush so they can possibly flank him for a headshot?

That would be stupid broken, I'd say more of being able to quickly pull out a full temp glass shield to cover his front but he can't shoot, just hold the angle and act as a shield, he can still move but not as efficiently as a shield op, but he still keeps his main guns, but probably too far fetched.

Just give him an 1x side scope and bulletproof glass on just one side. Once to many bullets are shot at his shield he auto switches to his main scope. After wards you can pull the bullets out of the shield but the dents are still visible. Oh and de side shield is way smaller than its now. Just headshot protection in like 10m range

Honestly ever since the shield rework ive always said his rework should be, he gets a normal shield but for his secondary he has all the guns he currently has. If he picks the deagle it works like normal, but if he picks a rifle then he mounts the rifle on his shield and deploys it, like og tachanka, and cant move but gets very little recoil. This way he still keeps his play style of holding a defensive angle on attack. Yes its similair to Osa but unlike Osa he can use it like a normal shield op, or keep it on his back to protect his rear while he plays aggresive with his rifle.

They wouldn't need to even mention that he's an agent either in the lore, seeing as team rainbow is not even close to the division levels of classified. Just say he's a genius with an unknown training background who built his own stuff, everyone who's familiar with the division would know it though and it'd be a cool connection. There's so many little details they could add that would be so cool to see like Isac replacing the original announcer but only for the person playing as the agent, a watch, and an exotic gear piece on them And because why not, give them an exotic weapon too like the merciless without the talents but keeping the binary trigger. Hell, give them the eagle bearer too, literally any of those could be added while remaining unique and balanced

I could see one of 2 ideas working. One is a flipped shield that only protects the sides and not the front of his face. The other is similar to what he has now but instead of breaking under fire it just gets shattered like mira or osa sheild, blinding but not immediately getting him killed like now.

I thought of something cool for him. Make his gadget be a big wall. He sets it down and starts rolling it to either left or right to seal and protect a room. Something like Castle, but instead of doorways, he can seal off a whole part of a room. You cannot see it from the inside or outside of the wall. It has the same weakness as Osa shield and Mira´s window. 2 big canisters on each side of the wall in the side it was set. Blowing up one removes one part of the wall, both the wall breaks apart. There is a murder hole in the middle of the wall, that u can slide it open or closed, but its very small, only enough for 1 person at crouch level. That being the only way u can see on the other side. If u hit the murder hole with a melee while its open, it gets stuck and can´t be closed again. 2 impacts or 1 C4 blows up the wall. BB only has one of them

I think they should make a shield like Monty for blackbeard. What I mean is that the shield is bulletproof and see, though it will. cover your head and barrel so you can't shoot, but when you switch to shoot, it makes no noise and exposes your head, so you can still get shot, but the sides of you will always be covered. would still be the gun shield just to clarify

My idea was making the shield invulnerable again (or very high HP) but instead applying the shattered glass mechanic to it. And changing the shape of it so blackbeard can only see out of a little square at the bottom (which he can also be killed through if you're a good enough shot) So it keeps the spirit of the gadget but with some modernisation. If the glass is shattered, it massively tanks your field of view so you can only watch a very small angle.

Considering how osa's shields are practically immune to gunfire id say something along the lines of that, however, osa's shields can crack, which should be the big change. Maybe not indestructible but to the point where it can tank a good amount of shots. But the more it gets shot the less you can see, to the point where you physically cant see through it. At that point youd either have to switch to your pistol (or give him a secondary smg) or take off and replace the shield.

My idea would be shock mines that cover an AOE like Melusi’s gadget then after it stuns an attacker it would be deactivated briefly and then would either 1.)need to be shot like Aruni’s gadget to reactivate ,2.)be on a cool down like Jaeger’s gadget, or 3.)activated with a limited use codes like Fenrirs. I would also make clash’s new gadget work like Kaid’s in the sense it could electrify other defender gadgets but it wouldn’t work on reinforcements.

I think the rework might be protective headgear! Just thinking about it Lore wise it would make sense because of the clear glass. It would look something similar to docs OG headgear. Don’t know exactly how they would make enough for this, but what if it was only protecting from the front like for gunfighting? Just imagine being able to survive a headshot from the opponents on the other team and getting back in the fight? It would be similar to Rooks system of equipment deployment.

The reason why it's useless now is because his shield dies in 1 shot, most defenders have super fast firing guns, just spray at his shield and he gets headshotted, it's a useless gadget. Big fan! Hope all is well. I've been trying to get my concept looked at since the echo video for r6 mail came out. I had a concept for Echo. I'll leave it below this comment. So since Ubisoft has this idea that "acog fixes operator" I took it upon myself to think about what would truly improve echo. So the concept I came up with could change attacker approaches. Echo: his 2 drones now have a toggle switch that has an emp pulse shock like BP cameras. This can be used to temporarily deny wall like Tubby. This emp will not regenerate and his concussive ability will be limited to 2 concussion per drone. Let me know your thoughts below this comment. Thanks!

I think blackbeards shield is gonna be able to use a smg or rifle while with a shield similar to blitz

imagine if you put some shields on the ground and your team gets 1 each for their gun but the downside is becoming slower(ash mains aint taking that)

What if he has a sheet metal sheild that when equipped it blocks bullets from the side covering half of your head and some of your side almost to your waist but when crouched it gos up a little covering your head almost all the way except in the middle and partially blocks your sight from crouch level foes up close as well as reducing recoil when holding still by a little bit, then when prone your recoil is reduced and you are only able to see enemies in your center sight, I thought of this from call of duty advanced from when I played it and used the arm shild that would lower when I aimed but covored my waist more when aimed
