This happens, look at it as a learning experience and not a soul searching experience, keep your chin up remember your a newbie and not only are you learning how to drive the kart your learning how to drive the track too, if you doubt you you'll never do good, don't force the issues, let it come to you naturally, don't over drive the kart or the track, don't try to win first time out, just work on the start & finnish of the race, that track was junk they need to prep the track better than that (or prep it periodically throughout the nite), you may want to consider running a track closer to where Mr. Dave lives, one week race here one week race there just to see if it's the track or experience, you never know till you try it, you may do great at another track, one more to your natural driving skills, your a Joiner we know you got driving skills, it runs in the family,,, love the new look It looks great,

When running that radical rear gear/tyre combination, you'll need equally radical chain guide. Something that wraps the lower part of the chain up until 9 o'klock. Also, when driving in mud, higher/slower gear ratio gives more traction and smoother torque. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, but it's always racing and that's better than most things.

I raced karts and then moved to full size cars... and running karts is harder in a lot of ways. Everything happens very fast... set-ups are so important on karts because you can't overcome it with power.. tiny changes make a huge difference.. etc. so I bet Joshua would still better than them in the kart!! Hey, Happy New Year...Just a suggestion. As a "old time Karter" from the 70's, I noticed that you had weights bolted underneath, and on the back of your seat. From having done that, I can tell you that it places a strain on your seat, and it can crack. My suggestion would be to take all your extra weights, and melt them down, and shape it to your seat. It will work better for you and help center the weight of the kart. Good luck.

If you kart you know you gotta stay low, for a normal day, that line might work, but i agree, with the slick, getting a little wide would help
@gunnartrenaryhaha4 жыл бұрын
Synic08 in karting your line doesn’t change based on track conditions. Use of throttle and breaking and kart setup/tires are what change . When he got passed the guy in front of him ran just as wide if not wider thanhim before he passed him he just carried a lot more speed through the corner.

In karting it’s more about tires and chassis setup he was driving it in a little to deep in the corner yea it’s a big track so you have to stay in the gas more when I race I get told slow is fast he’s doing a good job hanging with them boys down there that’s some tuff competition he’ll get better just takes seat time ..

I raced karts on asphalt I'm not a dirt expert put when it comes to karts I'm sure you use the same lines..I would assume you would back up the corner alittle more on dirt..diamining the corner is where u get momentum..but I know you naturally wanna protect the inside..just remember they have to have a wheel at your back wheel before you have to give up your line it's there job to get it from you..keep your head up seat time is everything.. p.s I wish they would move those tires in then maybe people wouldn't have to be so ruff to gain a spot..
