For the corners to keep your momentum up stay in the throttle and tap the brake to set the cart where you want it once you tap the break and come off of it it'll also give you a little acceleration boost in a sense but I do a lot of old race tracks in small indoor race tracks and I've come to learn that keeping the throttle held all the way down and just tapping the brake pedal helps me set the car where I want it

By far your best run, it’s a real confidence booster when things go right after a run of bad luck. It takes time to get down, and it’s finally starting to fall in place. Congrats on the podium.

Enjoying watching all the HTF episodes! Thank y’all for taking the time that you do to show the world different aspects of dirt racing and how much fun it can be! I raced karts for several years before going to big cars.....and yes if you aren’t flat~footing in karts you’re not fast......all about momentum! I think you are taking huge steps forward in every video! Keep it up brother! God Bless

Tip for scaling kart. Zip tie your break peddle down to the front bumper. Then you can get in and out without the kart moving or needing someone to hold the brake.

The kart seems to have looked better this go around but I tell ya what Joshua races with about the roughest kart drivers I’ve ever seen. I remember back in the day when I drove karts you tried to take care of your equipment, gee oh I’ve heard of rubbin is racing but man oh. Hang in there Joshua you’ll get it, a kart takes time to learn. Take all the late model days & throw them out the window, I’ve been in both as well lol

1st off. Great job brother. Looked very competitive. I'll say this, that new powerplant has helped your momentum game 100%. When u do have 2 crack the throttle, the cart looked liked it gained and carried more speed once u were back in the throttle vs the old engine. U can see how much more competitive the cart was in traffic. Great job! And give Mr Dave's granddaughter a raise, that girl was working! On a sidenote, maybe I've missed it in other videos, how did u and Mr Dave get teamed up??

Thanks for the comment. You're definitely right about the new engine. It's quite a bit faster than what we were running. Capps Racing Engines in Jacksonville is where we had it done... Yes, Ava is a lot of help. I'm glad she doesn't mind tagging along. Mr. Dave saw the video from my first go-kart race and thought I could use some help, so he just showed up the next week and started helping. He's been a huge part of my racing ever since. I'm blessed to have him helping me out.

Good race. That was one of your best runs yet. Turn 2 seems to be the tough spot for a lot of drivers. When you got shuffled back, you got right back in it. Good job. The 375 class is the toughest class out there. Winning a heat, and top 3 in a feature is a great night of racing. Congratulations, can't wait to see you get another win!!!

Looks to be alot more taking than earning a spot. I raced for 30 yrs. And I always said " when in Rome , drive like the Roman's do " . Every body knows what a great guy you are and they don't seem to be worried about you getting mad or even . Just a thought. They get respect when they give respect. Great cart tonight and I also agree with your brother.. You were pinching the corners before but looked great tonight. 🏁👍🇺🇸

Congrats, Not a bad nite at all, the kart is fast and looks like y'all are getting the handling worked out, now we need to work on the driver, lap times, consistency, go out during practice and run a same EXACT LINE and ENTRY for three laps, then change your line to where you think you could improve your lap times, run three laps, then change it again for three laps, go to the pits and check times and see where you were fastest/smoothest, go back out and try to run and improve on that lap times, smooth and steady is key, pick spots/marks to let off and get back on throttle and stay (if comfortable) or change that with each three lap run, you did Great and it's only the 2nd race of the year and you already have a Heat Win,

I raced karts in south Georgia from 2006-2018 and i never let off while there was someone in front of me. i used them as my brake. they called me the wild child. I had stickers that said "I Don't Play Well With Others" on my trailer and kart. everyone hated me but i won 268 races in my whole career. I never ran points until my last year racing. protect your inside and don't let off unless there is a pretty big gap in front of you and the other guy. easy top5 finishes all day long. if you think you are good enough, go into the turn and cut the other guy off, hit him in the side wall of the tire but don't wheel hop him. takes a very experienced driver to pull that off. (edit) - doing the move i mentioned will push the guy to the outside and he will spin if he isn't a good driver, i had a lot of cry babies purposly spin and i got black flagged a good bit. anyways, happy racing guys!!!
