Thank you for your no nonsence approach. I sometimes feel stressed after watching other decluttering videos and seeing all of these people with huge spaces to quilt and to declutter. I am always amazed at how much stuff people have. My space is rather small. On the positive side it is easier to keep clean. I really just want to quilt and not passe my days cleaning if i can. Thank you so much for the video.

You're welcome!!! And to be honest I have a huge space... And the decluttering can be a bit overwhelming! But like you, I just want to quilt and enjoy it!!! 💜💜💜

Picked up some great ideas today! Now to find the containers and those marvelous zip lock plastic ruler holders…maybe I won’t spend as much time in the search mode!

So glad you found great ideas. Description has links to things! I found containers at Menards, Walmart and Home Depot. Measure you're space so you know what sizes to get to optimize how many you can use. :-)

I had no idea about a (Quilt Guild) and donating to them. I have always just donated to a thrift store near me. I went though my quilting stuff when I moved to a different room to set up. I donated old thread that was given to me after learning that thread can go bad. So, I only use new thread that I have bought. I do not buy a lot at a time either. My old projects that I no longer wanted were finished, but not long-armed were given to the thrift store for someone to use as they see fit. My pins were gone through like you said to do. I had way to many bent and dull ones, and so I was able to open a new box of pins. I am bad about not changing my rotary blade. I just want to get all I can out of it. My bad! I am going to get some of that Hot Iron Cleaner for my iron that spits white stuff out of it. Funny thing, I thought my phone was ringing and started to look for it. Only to realize it was your phone, and I just had to laugh! Loved your video and the quilt behind you.

Sounds like you've got your ducks in a row! Way to go!!! Yeah I'm like you regarding my rotary cutter blades and my needles... Want to get all I can out of them. 😁 You made me laugh on the comment about the cell phone ringing on the video. 😂🤣

Please send quilters to quilt shop stores to make purchases instead of Amazon…or we won’t have shops where we can buy quality quilt making fabric.
@WendyJHaney9 ай бұрын
I can appreciate that, and often do. But not everything is available at a quilt shop, nor does everyone have a quilt shop nearby. I hope they support those quilt shops they have, But if not they have another option. The links to Amazon also allows them to see the products I'm talking about. This way they can know exactly what I'm using and they can take that list to their local store as well.

I also updated the text in the description to indicate using a local quilt store when ever possible. I do appreciate your comment, as I DO support my local stores when ever possible and I couldn't do without them!

@@WendyJHaney thank you, I did hear you mention that you do videos at quilt shops which is a great way to educate about quilting. I use to own a quilt store about 14 years ago and I’m happy to say my business partner is still in business, but I know the struggle. Thanks for your response and for your educational videos.

You're welcome, and I did appreciate the comment as it made me change how I'm going to include the description of products I use in my videos. I LOVE my local quilt stores. Here in TN, I'm lucky to have so many!!!😍
