Wow you went completely through that car, rebuilt heat/AC, went through engine/trans, and car looks outstanding with giant dent fixed. Very hard to find them like that. Congrats on giving that car a whole new lease on life and offering it up for someone else to enjoy.

Like the rear quarter body work, it was fun watching you splice in the partial quarter panel, nice work.

Most of the 67,68,69, darts i had were sixes. I never could find a v8 when i had the cash . That turned out nice ! Someone will love having it !

The overwhelming majority of these cars were ordered with the slant six engine through 1970 because their buyers were looking for better fuel economy and the slant six provided adequate horsepower since emission controls through 1970 were minimal. In the 1970s the cars got heavier due to safety standards and many buyers opted for air conditioning making the cars hundreds of pounds heavier and at the same time emission controls strangled all engines but especially the smaller ones. More buyers (like me in 1974) opted for the 318 V8 as the 273 V8 was discontinued after 1969.

I have a 1969 Dart Custom 2 door hardtop and the Customs are really scarce. It is great seeing someone fix up a four door and it being a Custom. Keep up the good work!! You should be proud.

You did a great job saving the 69 dodge dart and I am glad you did it was amazing as long as it sat wrecked it didn't become a parts car before you got it, it is almost all original,a ac car automatic transmission and the v8 option and the last year for the 273 v8 and it even retaining it original wheels and steel hubcaps!!

You’ve done a nice job saving it when likely no one else would have put up the cash to buy it, let alone the time and effort to do the body work and otherwise to get it back to life on the highway again. All that said … I don’t want it, I don’t need it, I don’t have a place to put it, nor the extra cash to buy it, my wife won’t like it, I don’t want to meet you half way to look at it, I don’t have any rich relatives near death to leave me the money to buy it, I won’t be calling you next week to make arrangements about anything involving this car, and I have nothing to trade you for it! However, I do wish you the best in moving it on to a new home and with your future projects!

You did a nice job with that car. I think I remember you cleaning out the inside, and you saying that the smell was terrible. You can't keep them all. Happy New Year to you.

Car looks great! And I feel your pain about winter weather. A woodstove in that shop might change your mind, basically free heat that warms the bones! haha

It's supposed to get down to around 32° tonight in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. And back in the 50s tomorrow. As for the Dart, maybe it will be bought by a guy unbeknownst to his wife. Have a Happy New Year, and don't be a stranger. Please share what's on your mind from your living room once in awhile.

How do you like that Altima over the Camry you had before? I drive them a lot at work and the CVT makes them scream a lot while accelerating and they just feel mushy, the Camry to me feels like Mercedes compared to the jarring cheap plasticy Altima
@TylersNeighborhoodGarage4 ай бұрын
It's a snazzy car but not a Camry, that's for sure.

Ive said before but that's i agree with you i hate the cold weather i have arthritis in my knees and my left hand because of three of my fingers getting cut into from a 1989 Pontiac Bonneville sse 3800sfi v6 automatic fwd transmission pan and the cement driveway and two Tylenol because I had to sit down for a bit but after a half of a can of coke I was back up and helped my buddy get his work car back together to drive that night..no stitches and only two bandages small ones the thumb and other two fingers i super glued shut, and my left knee is cracked on the kneecap from a fall on the stainless steel floor when working at Burger King in highschool stocking the Walk in cooler, and my right knee is chipped from tripping on a big rock i didn't see when I was like 9 being chased by my older sister so cold hurts..oh well..
