I saw them two months later, on February of 1994 the 18th, Le Summum, Grenoble, in France. It was the very show I ever went to, a gift from my father (who was there too) for my 14th birthday (born in 1980, the 24th of February). I would have never believed that it was their very last show in France, and after a few other gigs, we all know what happened less than two months later (4 months if counting from the gig above in the video)... I hate the month of April since then, the worst in the year. And since 2021, it's even more true considering I lost my Dad, on April of that year, April, again... Two of my most beloved human beings passed away in April, Kurt in 1994, and my Dad in 2021. (Funfact: My Dad's birthday was on February the 20th, just like Kurt) I miss you so much Dad since you left us back in April 2021, every day since then has a taste like Hell on Earth. Thank you for having made my teenage dream of seeing my favorite band ever live becoming true. Nirvana + You that day = the most beautiful day in my life. It was the best birthday gift I ever had and it will be really hard to do better. I don't think it's possible. I miss all of you, Nirvana, Kurt and Dad, you are in my heart forever. I'll remember you until it's my turn to leave this world. Thank you for such a legacy. I miss you so much that it hurts. And fuck you month of April.

His style of showman is so desirable to watch. I love his no talking to crowd thing, its like a piece of uninterupted art, its him believing his shit is important and is mesmerising but seemingly not trying. If he were alive, his haters would snap up tix and be glued to him in the front row but theyll never admit it. They think his stuff is so simple, why cant they copy this without looking lame?! so many Nirvana haters out there. Kurt is simply the best! rockn out.
@livvlife7 күн бұрын
Yes, the way he rocks out is so…almost unique to him. Some people who rock their body and shake their heads that much on stage look silly but some rockers like Kurt Cobain pull it off so well that it’s the perfect reaction to his music. A sublime human being who detested the values that constitute modern consumerist, militaristic and competitive society. Didn't claim he wasn't a hypocrite. Didn't claim he wasn't flawed. Didn't claim he had all the answers. And he didn't hold himself up as a model for others to follow. What he did was shine a light on how humans behave in ways that hurt not only one another but the very Earth we are all children of.

My love for Kurt’s music is a matter of eternity. Soulful lyrics, harmony in distortion, such a good comprehension of composition, in all its forms & an unbearable sense of infinite freedom in creative process. Rare are the artists of that emotional skeleton allied to amazing immediacy and everlasting primordial vocals that tears you apart. So so fresh, experimental & killing as it was fabricated few days ago…hence such a bundle of influence strongly felt from the North to the South Pole 🌎 Universal ai it’s best 💫 Thank you for such an incredible footage. Outstanding !

@@justdev8965 you're rude. A part of freedom is the right to express your opinions and emotions.... that's what America is all about. And you've done so. Unfortunately your manners suck. If you have nothing positive to say then do everyone a favor and say nothing at all. Take all of that time you have wasted and help someone who is hurting, maybe the way Kurt was. Don't just take up space, any tin foil can do that.

what a man. it's kind of crazy that i can go so long without listening to nirvana, without seeing a picture of kurt and know that i still have the same fascination with him and the band that i did when i was 15 but not really FEEL it..until i watch something like this. it's not often i passively listen because i don't make a habit of it now i understand that the media i consume has an effect on my mood, and i'm a moody person anyway. a lot of the stuff i was listening to back then, while i resonated with it/felt validated by it, i didn't realise how heavily it was contributing to keeping me emotionally stagnant. same thing might have happened with kurt, listening to/playing the same angry stuff over and over again.. but anyway different topic different day. as an adult woman i can see his faults clear as day but i can't help but re-fall a little bit in love with him as i watch, weird that that's still the case. approaching 27 gives me a weird feeling because it's his eternal age. smiling though, cos it happened, you know? rip

I felt the same way... still do. When I was 27... I was like WOW!!! Kurt was gone at this age I'm at now. I felt so amazing at 27. I got to 30.. 30 was even more amazing... then I got to 37..and I was like "Wow! I've already lived 10 more years than Kurt did. Wtf" It feels so surreal. I love him so much. I've always have. He passed when I was in middle school. My parents divorced a few years prior... my ❤ was shattered, Kurt passed... my shattered heart was then stomped into a million pieces... I'm still trying to find the glue to piece it all back together.

The full mix of this show can be purchased from Nirvana themselves - It was officially released many years ago (and part was broadcast on MTV on NYE 1993). This video is mostly intended for those who have watched that full mix hundreds of times - unique to see just one camera in that case. Cheera.
