Beautiful video! I live out in the rural West where your food is grown. I look at a video like this and become horribly claustrophobic just from looking at it. I can’t imagine living amongst that many people in such a small area. I know that millions of people couldn’t imagine living nearly an hour from the grocery store either! You capture this monster city so well. I am just getting started with a Surui 1.33X 35mm anamorphic lens. Think how many cows I can show! 😅

As far as I know, the Panasonic S5 doesn't have an open gate mode and can't shoot the required aspect ratio with anamorphic lenses. But in this video, the aspect ratio looks correct, almost like 2.39:1 or very close to it. How did you achieve this aspect ratio? Did you have to scale or crop the image and remove the edges of the video to get the desired aspect ratio?

Indeed, I shoot in 16/9, but the lense I use compresses the image by a factor 1.5 and not 2. That means the output format uncropped is 1.5*16/9 which is about 2.66. This is close to 2.4, I just crop and loose about 10% of horizontal resolution.
