I’ve lived in NYC for 3 years Katy! Here are my moving tips: 1. measure DOORWAYS so you can make sure your furniture will fit into the apt. 2. Get air conditioning units and install those first thing, especially since you’re moving in summer. It can be miserable when everyone is tired and there is no moving air! 3. Under the bed storage af! That’s where you’ll put all your winter clothes so get vacuum sealed bags and under the bed storage containers 4. Get roach traps! The kind that you just set out. You never know until you start living there if there are bugs and most of the time there are. 5. Get a laundry cart that you can wheel to the laundromat. Your back will thank you later! 6. Fresh direct is amazing especially right when you move in (grocery delivery right to your apartment!) 7. Take EXTENSIVE photos of the apartment before you move so that when you’re moving out you can get your full security deposit back. Sometimes landlords can be assholes and try to get money out of you that you don’t owe. And that’s it! Good luck Katy and happy moving!

Girl.. plants! plants! plants! Anytime I see exposed red brick I think of how great some trailing pothos plants or a potted monstera or two would look against it. Not only is the red/green coloring complimentary, but the plants will bring life and color to the rustic, home-y feel the exposed brick brings!! Not to mention you aren’t breaking the bank as I’m sure you’re probably looking to keep your costs down after getting this beautiful apartment !!

Obsessed w your opening! So glad we got to come along on the tour. One huge tip for small apartments - get a couch for the living room that folds/pulls out into a bed because then you have a back up for guests/friends when they want to visit and spend the night! There are some super chic ones that you can find on various home furniture websites 😊 Congrats on your new place!
