Love your videos. Thanks for sharing. I've been on an endless hunt for the perfect edc notebook. I think I like how often I would get to move into a new notebook if i was using something as small as Field Notes.

Silvine is a very long-standing British company, who seem to be making a bit of a come-back. I used their notebooks as a schoolboy in the 1970s. Still inexpensive. A good source for them is Neros Notes (UK online).

I love that they're still around, still simply designed, and still affordable! Good quality too.

Do you have an affinity for larger types of notebooks, like sketchbooks ? By the way, I like your channel name. It's bold and eye catching, and has chutzpah. Since many people are intimidated by that very 1st page 😁

I do really like larger notebooks, and I have quite a few in my inventory, but I don't usually feel like I am using them to their full extent - especially sketchbooks because I'm not a particularly useful artist :D. Day to day I will often use up to an A5 / 6"x8" size, usually as my work notebook or when I'm studying something and I want to write extensively. A bigger page is somehow a more relaxing page. And thank you for your comment about the channel name! You hit the exact reason I chose it, I've got a video coming up talking about exactly that!

How funny that sometimes it’s like Japanese stationary pushes the smoothest thinnest paper and sometimes its drag texture thick. There’s the third element that I never thought of- smell. Until I got addicted to Erin Condren thick draggy paper and my sister told me it smelled awful and hated borrowing my notebooks. 😅

Thanks for watching! I have not had the pleasure of a thick draggy Japanese paper yet. I’ve used some French linen paper which is like writing on a piece of cloudy cardboard - in the best sense!

Hi Lucas, thanks for the videos. What pen is that? I really like it. I’m looking for a small pocket pen.
@BlankFirstPage Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! The brass pen is a Kaweco Lilliput Mini. It is my favourite pocket pen!

A "fidget pen" haha, sturdy enough to withstand serious fidgeting? ;)

It passes Blank First Page level fidgeting, which is a high bar!
