We went to Xifu Food and Sticky’s today. Thanks for the recommendation! I don’t even like chicken, but the vampire poppers were delish. I noticed they had a vegan option as well. Same flavors but with mushrooms instead of chicken. We are going to try the rest another day. It is so nice to have cheap eats close by 😊

For anyone who is considering to make a visit to NYC, sure, the majority of the sightseeing is located in Manhattan. With that said, the outer boroughs of NYC (Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Staten Island) also are great places to visit to get a feel of the "real NYC." Not everyone had a lot of extra time to visit deep in to those boroughs. Should that be the case, the eateries in this vid are located in downtown Brooklyn, which abounds with restaurants and shopping places. Downtown Brooklyn is located only 2 miles from lower Manhattan, which is 1 mile closer in distance than Midtown Manhattan is to Lower Manhattan.

Use to work at Sticky's Finger Joint in Hell's Kitchen, as good as the food is, it's way too expensive and there are so many better and cheaper options out there in the city. Although their Thai Fiesta slaps, and their classic sandwich with no slaw, also slaps

Went to college in Downtown BK. The school right behind where you guys sit down actually in metrotech. Grew up in Brooklyn 3 stops away on Q line Prospect Park. This places has changed so much. From Fulton mall which used to have a lot of underground urban stores 15-20years ago and now a bunch of tall skyscrapers/hotels/condos and high price retailers. It’s lost it’s magic a bit and now feels similar to LES Manhattan I remember starting college in 2010 and the talk was how this place is gonna change all the plans and investors was coming in. A bunch of projects was in the works. To see it all come to life 11 years a lot the transformation amazes me driving by now. BTW You hit up some great spots, but that sticky’s chicken spot is a NO-GO. chicken is dry and lacks flavor. Only flavor you get is from the sauce on top and dippin sauce options which are excellent.
