Out side of US there are higher standards when it comes to " our " foods . You got real butter with those hot cakes, and I'm willing to bet there was no high fructose corn syrup in that hot cake syrup . In Ireland the Subway sandwich chain was not allowed to call the rolls bread because of the high sugar content ... ... it is classified as CAKE !

I've noticed the food portions in Taiwan are smaller compared to the US, and Asian foods are definitely less sweet and greasy. You had to get two different meals to feel full. 😁 You weren't too impressed, but it was quite an experience at McDonald's. Thank you for sharing, AK! 🤗

You'd think McDonald's would be consistent throughout the world. Not much difference in Europe. Must be the local suppliers. Ding Tai Feng is finally opening mid-year in NYC Chinatown. Let us know if it's consistent with Taipei's when it opens.

Mushrooms & vegetables with a slice of ham, umm no. And then it didn't fill you up 😅. Like you said it's an experience 🤷🏾‍♀️ I could eat the pancakes & sausage there. I don't like the syrup so sweet, pancakes are always heavy and because the sausage is made of pork & salty I won't eat.

I'm rarely inside a McDonalds. I read about the digital kiosks. Interesting to see them in action. Love mushrooms. I do like McMuffins, I would likely enjoy egg, sausage, mushroom, cheese McMuffin. Not a fan of McDonald's hotcakes lol. But I'm glad they are better there than hereRather make my own using a high protein mix with butter and real maple syrup.
