Hello Jos! The place looks beautiful and I liked very much the decor of the rooms (except the wallpaper in the "Blenheim" suite, sorry! 😁) The afternoon tea did not impress me at all. It seemed a bit plain to me, the sandwiches were nothing special and there were no proper, rich cakes. I am glad you are having a nice time in New Zealand. Cheers! 😍😍

I thought for the price at about £20 was nice. It is a more basic afternoon tea compared to the London luxe hotels but I found the host really welcoming and I loved the different character style of the estate which makes a change from the more standard hotel spaces. I did miss the clotted cream and a good crisp & glossy scone though. I have so many afternoon teas coming up in NZ and overseas that I will get my clotted cream fix soon enough.
