Must have been great to work there. I was born in Rotorua and my greatest early memories (1990 - 2001) are of going up the gondolas. Especially loved the simulator with the mine track :) those luge carts were hardcore aye :P

Yes, I'm a proud Kiwi and so lucky to call New Zealand my home! I have gone jet boating, sailing, zorbing, skiing and much more. There are no wild dangerous animals here at all & the spiders are not deadly, there is one the redback it wont kill you but it can make you pretty sick. As for getting hurt, there are rescue helicopters available that can go anywhere and will have you at a local hospital quickly. Also, we are are very lucky to have free health here too! Greetings once more from New Zealand! I was really surprised to see this reaction, because NZ is just three small islands in the South Pacific, and compared to international cities, ours are like villages :D Yes, that is Hobbiton, and loads of people visit the famous little village. All the plants and other vegetation was grown well before filming began there, so the gardens and surrounds looked very authentic. The sheep? They're farmed here, and yes they outnumber people by 1-5 🧍- 🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑 😁 There are sheep stations (farms) all over the South Island and the lower North Island that have thousands of sheep on them. We currently have 26 million sheep here, which is big drop from the 87 million we had in the 80's. NZ is the second largest exporter in the world of lamb products, just behind Australia. Wine is also featuring as a strong exporter now too. Agriculture and horticulture are still our biggest export earners. Nope, no bears, wolves, or coyotes, just the odd nasty spider or two which you rarely see.

There are no predators in New Zealand which is why we have flightless birds (they didn't need to fly to escape anything). Sheep have nothing to do with having no predators. Sheep are an introduced animal, like all four legged animals in NZ.

We have very few poisonous spiders, we have the native Katipo a relative of the Black widow, but they normally hide out under logs on the beach, they're also very rare to the point of being endangered. We also have the Redback spider, another relative of the Black widow, a gift from Australia, but it's not very common. I guess we have a lot of birds and possums that eat them and due to the lack of desert/sandy terrain and cooler moist climate they're not as happy as over in Oz.

Don't believe everything you hear about snakes not being in Aotearoa. They do exist but are unique to Wellington. They have 2 legs a small brain addicted to power and greed also are heavily conformed with an "ALL ABOUT ME" issues amongst their breed. They're literally found in a "BEEHIVE" which they call Parliament House but otherwise AOTEAROA is Heaven on earth. I did the Taupo bungy jump in NZ. I was asked if I wanted to touch the water. I said yes. I was expecting to get my fingertips wet. I went in up to my knees like that first dude. Remember; you are going head first. I nearly broke my neck. I had a black eye. Just like parachuting (which I've done), it's not fun but exhilarating.

The Red-back and Katipo are different spiders. In my 31 years in NZ I've never seen a Katipo and I haven't seen a Red-back in at least 10 years. They are both incredibly rare nowadays. Of course we also have the Whitetail which is very common and likes to be indoors but they usually aren't venomous, but can be, and can give a nasty bite (I know someone who lost a finger because of one). I've never been bit though.

Backward hat dude is close to the age appropriate line with the hat. I was in the military so wearing a hat backwards, or nor removing it indoors, is never allowed. Bart Simpson started the backwards hat trend in the early 90's and many still do it to this day. It just a bit cringey seeing a grown man with backwards hat. George Carlin remarked that anyone over the age of 10 shouldn't be wearing backwards hats.

All that and more is possible… just bring money. Hospitals are ok if you’re critical from an accident but for everything else be prepared to wait… and wait… and wait. It may be free (not really because the taxpayer picks up the bill so to speak) but our health has many many issues, don’t get me wrong, good place to live if you can afford it because it’s not cheap but I struggle to think of anywhere else in the world I’d rather live, maybe Texas but I couldn’t deal with the heat and critters because I sure as sh*t wouldn’t be live in any of the big cities 🤷🏻‍♂️😁✌🏼
